Decided to do a big engine build. Vehicle was picked up Saturday night November 16th. Headed to Eurocharged of Houston Texas. I have big plans for this vehicle. Hoping everything goes smoothly and perfect. Have been in contact with Eurocharged of Houston and Spool Performance. I am very excited. Hoping to get the car back sometime around February 2025. Vehicle is a 2016 S63 4matic sedan. Plans include the following. Spool Performance fully built long block with the CNC heads and cams, built transmission with possibly replacing the reluctor plate and or wiring harness to the transmission and engine while they are there. I would like to keep the original engine with the car. New engine mounts, transmission mount, bridge pipes replaced with HMS performance ones or equivalent, Spool Performance FX200 high pressure fuel pumps, Spool Performance stage 3 low pressure fuel pump. Blackboost 950+ turbos. Any upgraded radiators or heat exchangers? Maybe at a later date, do meth injection, however for now, I really don't want it. Maybe three different tunes. 93 pump gas, E85 (VP C85) and some sort of race fuel (VP C16). I could always order a 55-gallon drum of VP race fuel. Good E85 is very difficult to find in my area. A straight pipe welded into the resonator location, plus have the Renntech Sport mufflers welded into position. Also have the front portion of the Redstar exhaust welded into position where the factory exhaust was two pipes, and the Redstar exhaust consists of four pipes. I think that's it for now. Will be getting their input for everything as everything comes together.
Package sounds nice . Im hoping you can take it to the dragstrip to see the real world results of the big money's spent on your build. Sounds like you've done your homework. . There is a local 2014 W222 with a Eurocharged stage 2 that runs 11.42 @ 127 mph with a 198 60ft.
My opinion the dyno is only a tool but real world number's don't lie for hard earned money spent
Just wanted more power and have a whole lot of fun. Especially surprising people. It's still a big boat. However, I think it will be amazing when complete. I honestly don't think a lot of S class AMG owners take their cars to the next level. Like the C and E AMG owners do. I am anxious to see what the outcome is. Should be fun at cars and coffee. I plan on just enjoying the car at all kinds of car events. Thank you.
You said they're installing a new long block and heads, will you just keep your original block and heads in the garage for the future? Or are they rebuilding your block and heads to handle the extra power? What kind of HP and torque numbers are you expecting? And will it translate to real world use, safely? I admit that I have no interest at this point of ever doing anything like this to my car, but fun to see what's available. Looking forward to the results when it's all buttoned up and going again.
I have mentioned to the shop, if at all possible, I would like the original engine/transmission used for the rebuild/modifications. This car has been meticulously maintained. I wanted to start with a good foundation, per say. It is their long block package, and it is mentioned on Spool Performances web site. I wanted their package but to use my original engine for the rebuild. If possible. If that makes sense. Really not sure on numbers. I told the shop, what I was interested in. What kind of driving I do. Car may see some track events, and of course daily driving. I told them their input would be greatly appreciated. I would like the car to be even more amazing than it already is. Plus, surprise some sports cars or super cars. Lol. I was already surprising Hellcats and C8 corvettes on the highway. Thank you.

Yes. The shop has been extremely busy. Plus collecting parts. I am getting very excited for this outcome. Hoping it turns out great. I am sure it will. The shop has said that this will be a one of one. The Turbos were made by Pure, however they are supposedly not your off the shelf turbo. They were made specifically for this car and this build. Cant wait to see the final numbers. There will be multiple tunes for different fuels.
Sounds like a super cool build! I’m also curious to see the results- it’s rare enough to come across an S-Class with a tune, but unheard of to see one with a full build!

Thank you. I am very excited. There are plenty of parts for the C, E, CLS 63's. I am learning some of those parts are not interchangeable with the S63. Unfortunately. I wanted everything built and done. Ready to go, with many trouble free miles. Lol. I wanted the heat exchangers upgraded also. Along with a built transmission. I even looked into a front billet differential with upgraded axles for the car, which is available in Europe. I contacted them and they said it wouldn't work. I cant wait to go to a Cars and Coffee.
If you look at some of the pictures, you can see the pistons. This engine came from Spool Performance in Houston. I bought a long block. It has the whole list of what this engine is. Cams, port work, etc. It has the Largest low and high pressure fuel pumps, I was told these turbos are from Pure and are a one off for this build this car. I installed the VRP billet pulley set, Renntech blow off valve. The transmission is fully built from my understanding with one off billet internals and upgraded clutch packs. Vehicle is running Red Star cat less down pipes and Renntech Sport mufflers with sport valves. I hope this answers your questions. Vehicle may also have upgraded heat exchangers.

Yes, the numbers. It’s hard for your fans to expect anything other than great numbers. In addition to that, will you be able to comment on what kind of reliability/durability you can expect?
I can try. However that would be longevity thing. I am anticipating the vehicle being completely done by the end of the month and or the beginning of next month. Since we are doing multiple fuel tunes. I am sure I will have an itemized list of what was done for the most part. They may want to keep some of there secret sauce to themselves though. From what they told me, they are anticipating over a 1000AWHP on E.
Hi Barry any updates on your AMG S63 ? Ive been following your build since day one, im overly excited to see and hear the results on this one off build from scratch its a very special peice indeed.
I talked to them briefly this afternoon. They are still breaking in the engine. Everything going smoothly. After break in, tuning starts. That's all I have for now. Sorry. I will definitely post dyno sheets and anything i have. I am very excited.
