2008 W221 S65 Changing Oil Pan/Sump Gasket
Hello people,
Looking for some DIY advice. Thanks in advance.
I removed the plastic fascia in order to access the drain plug bolt and change my oil, and I found that there was a minor leak of oil. The only places I could see oil or along the backside of the oil pan and at two screws securing the oil pan/sump. I could find no other oil anywhere and I’ve only owned the car a short while and never seen oil pooling under the car. There was minimal oil on the plastic fascia piece.
So my hope is — it’s the oil pan gasket. Is this an easy/medium/difficult job?
Any advice is welcomed.

OP start with washing all the mess off with a can of flammable brake cleaner. Get it spotless. Let it dry and air out to no stink. Put the plastic back on, drive it a week and look again.
The oil pan is easy enough to do. I’ve not needed to do one in over 150,000 miles of thrashing on 275 and 279 powered cars.
