Maybe ill wait...

Mercedes just reported a 9% drop in Q2 global sales, with even sharper declines in the U.S. and China. Tariffs have hit hard, especially on high-end models, and many dealers are holding extra inventory longer than usual.

Im thinking holding off a few months for a CPO 2024 S63. By then I should be able to find one under 140k if the decline continues.

What do you guys think?.

2019 S63 4Matic+, 2018 E400 Cabrio, wardens car.
Might be true on a pedestrian S560 but the folks who typically buy or more likely lease a new S63 are not nearly as impacted by price fluctuations or market conditions. I do not see a world where you get a new S63 for basically 60K off MSRP. I could see more aggressive lease options but not wholesale fire sales on what is a very limited inventory of cars across the country. Sorry, just re read the post. I guess on a CPO or used you could see this kind of drop. I picked up my 2019 S63 in 2021 for around 120K with 9K miles on the clock, and 180K msrp. Be prepared for massive depreciation even on a good deal though as these cars drop like a prom dress on prom night for the fist 5-6 years post new sale. I would also highly recommend a warranty for your period of ownership. I picked up a Fidelity warranty for my car last year for under 5K and it has already paid out 3 times that in repairs.

Thanks for the response! I will definitely go with Fidelity this time around if i decide to keep it longer than CPO warranty because I went with Freedom on my current S560 and its been a headache. I was considering new but after seeing 2024 CPOs for under 150k, it just wouldn't make sense. My goal is 4th quarter hoping the prices come down more.

Thanks again for responding!

I wouldn't compare the metadata to something as specific as the S63 AMG market... If anything, the drop in sales for new models reflects the desire for vehicles on the used market as consumer vehicle purchase trends are very steady.
