2015 S65 TRANSMISSION OIL PAN REMOVAL ISSUE
I will be changing the transmission fluid and filter for the first time on my 2015 s65 with 45k miles. I have a question on the proper way to remove the two E10 pan bolts at the rear of the trans pan. The crossbrace that supports the transmission mount is in the way and there is VERY little space to fit most tools in the tiny space. I believe the pan would come out if I was able to remove those 2 E10 bolts with out having to remove the brace with 8 large bolts. Is there a flexhead e10 wrench that can be angled into the tight space to remove/install these 2 bolts?
Can someone please advise what the best solution would be.
Thanks again for all your help,
Rick

With the proper tools, power tools, those 8 bolts will come out in no time, saving you the headache of trying to squirm around it to get at the pan bolts.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I rather not have to deal with removing those 8 large bolts and supporting the rear of the transmission..not even sure if the trans mount would have to be removed. I am currently looking to buy an e10 flex wrench and hope that the 2 bolts dont hit the brace before fully removed.
I cant imagine mercedes requiring that the brace has to be removed to remove the 2 rear bolts.
Thanks again

Well I took your advice and removed all 8 of the 18 mm head transmission support bracket bolts...not fun..BUT definitely made the pan removal easier.
Would you happen to know what the torque specs should be for these larger bolts? I tried searching online but had no luck!!
Thanks again for your help
