RPMs dropping when coming to a stop
I've noticed lately that my RPMs will drop momentarily when coming to a stop and then shoot back up before coming to a normal idle when stopped. I also notice that stepping on the gas and the car will actually studder a bit as I accelerate while in second gear. I know that in Comfort mode, the car will start in second gear so you always have to give it a bit more gas to get going, but this doesn't seem right. I think about six months ago the actually stalled when the RPMs dropped so low when I trying to get out of a parallel parking spot. I've recently had the spark plugs changed hoping that would fix the issue, but no joy. I was going to look at maybe replacing the MAF sensor or 02 sensor if that's applicable to see if it helps. Also, maybe a vacuum leak somewhwre...not sure.

Mercedes-Benz S63 recall tune (2014–2016 models)
- The issue: On certain AMG S63 sedans and coupes from 2014 to 2016, a software error in the Engine Control Unit (ECU) could cause the engine to stall when slowing to a stop. The stall might be mistaken for the "ECO start/stop" function, but the engine would not restart, immobilizing the vehicle. This affected 2,943 vehicles from the AMG unit sold between November 2014 and September 2015.
- The fix: Authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers will perform a free software update to the ECU to correct the issue.
