Honda Accord
2010 E350 vs. 2010 S550

Hi,
I was just wondering, if both of these vehicles were equipped with the Driver Assistance Package and the PRE-SAFE system, is there still a big difference in overall driver/passenger protection in an impact? Is it big enough to justify the almost double price of the S550 over the E350?

It seems as though MB has advertised the E350 to be the safest car on the road, how does it compare to the S550? God forbid, if one were involved in a collision, would survival/reduced injury be greater in the S due to size?

Shopping for a new MB sedan soon and just want some input from you guys.

Thanks!

The S-class is probably safer.

Both are very safe cars. Having owned and still own E's and S classes I feel 100% safe everytime I get inside them. Of course the S Class being larger and stronger the chances are the S Class is much more safer. Also the S Class is the flagship model as well and it is the trailblazer for safety features. Also it depends on the situation and the accident that will result in injuries.

The S Class is longer and wider so there is more of a chance of you getting hit if you think about since you take up more space on the road lol

If you get in a accident and the E class cant handle it, than it probably does not matter if you are in a S or E class. Both cars are big cars and both offer superior crash protection.
