The official rattle and noise thread:
I've had the car three weeks now and I am just bummed with some of the noises and rattles that have come from the interior of this thing. Instead of going back and forth to the dealer and going without the vehicle some of these I've just isolated myself and performed the same "foam/felt tape" fix that they would without having to worry about them screwing it up.
So far I've isolated and fixed the following interior panels:
- Center hatch plastic trim that covers third brake light. Removed (just pulls straight out) and foam taped contact points. Whisper quiet.
- Cargo area lid too loose (where a spare might have been placed if we had one). I fixed this by leaving cargo ON TOP of the lid. It's really just an excuse to keep my clubs in the car. Club head covers keeps my bag nice and quiet too.
- Passenger side rear seat 1/4 window trim. Rattled just by tapping it with my finger. Simply pulled it back and slid a piece of felt in there. Nice and quiet now.
- Driver's side seatbelt slider trim. Unable to fix without removing seatbelt. Will let dealer tackle.
- Rear hatch squeaks when vehicle articulates. I adjusted the little feet to allow a touch more tension. All good now and the body panels are perfectly lined up too!
- Rear seat on passenger side, headrest portion rattles with no tension (person in seat) on the mount point. I do not have a remedy for this and the dealer wants the vehicle for a week to remove the rear seat. BOO.
I have what I believe to a realistic expectation of noise levels in a vehicle of this caliber. This thing is not only louder than anything my supercars have ever experienced other than my McLaren, it's worse than my G63 that this thing replaced....which we all know are rattle-boxes.
Anyways, post up any noises you have and how you or the dealer may have fixed them and hopefully we can keep people from losing their minds from small noises.

I just got my 2020 GT63 on Saturday so I don’t have a ton of behind the wheel time. I do have a noticeable rattle from around the air vent to the left of the steering wheel.
Overall I am pretty surprised on how much actual road noise there is from my car. My ‘17 S63 was amazingly quiet until you hit the gas. Obviously those are different cars. I know 21’s and thin tires don’t help.

I had some of the similar rattles on my 18 E63S. I can only think that the rock hard suspension has to do with it and how it jars things loose. I swear its like driving on tank steel belts at times and I have good roads.

I've been able to get my cabin pretty quiet with some creative solutions the dealer was too slow to figure out.
- the biggest improvement I've made was to the doors and rear hatch. I did the "door seal mod" like I've done on countless other vehicles of mine and it made the absolute biggest difference with the hatch being most impacted positively. I don't remove the seals to slide the little clear tubing into the existing seal. I just find an existing relief hole in the factory seal and spray some WD40 into the hole and start sliding in the clear tubing.
Link of procedure done to F Series Ford but same idea -

The rattle from my far left air vent is gone. However, I have a pretty loud rattle coming from the passenger door somewhere. I am going to need to let someone else drive my car and sit on the passenger side to figure it out.
