Unhappy GT73

Interesting.
I now hear it may possibly come with 900HP total.
Very, very tempted but not happy it may be offered, I am a very weak person and that means I would not be able to resist and spend another untold amount of $$$.

Going to be a hybrid though, not sure how thrilled I am about the idea. It will be very fast, but just feel the experience will not be the same.

Can’t understand these complaints about hybrid. I don’t think anyone says this about the Porsche 918, P1, La Ferrari. They are just fast cars...
And the weight discussion is irrelevant too as the current car is a porker as well. Mercedes doesn’t build light cars, no matter the tech.

Not disagreeing, just not sure I would like the experience as much. Nor did I mention weight. Most AMGs are heavy regardless.

My comment was actually not directed towards you but there have been many statements here discussing AMG hybrids and disliking them without seeing them in action.
This one (73) will definitely be a different config than the fairly weak setup of the upcoming GLS63

Wolfman is right.
I had similar objections before I got Panamera TS rental for a week in LA.
I was pleasantly surprised, hybrid added some new factors to experience and even enjoy while absolutely not diminishing the usual characteristics of ICE.
