Just wanted to post up my MY20 GT63s, came from an edition 1 C63s and couldn't be happier with the switch. Initially I was waiting for the new CLS63s, but after finding out that was not going to happen was pleasantly surprised by the entry of the X290 platform. Ordered the car in July and took delivery in early December. So far I have just under 2,000 miles on the car and my only complaints are the driver seat position should be able to go lower (Non Sport Seats), and the Nav still bothers me to no end. Its 2020, why has Mercedes not offered a touch screen. Entering a Nav address into the system is such a pain in the ***, silver lining here is the voice command is much better than my 15 so I use that mostly.
Break in of course was painful, and after I did get my oil, and diff fluid changed. Yes I know everyone says the diff doesn't have to be changed. But its still the same diff in the C63 (s) and E63 (s) and those are still listed on the maintenance schedule so for $290 total for both engine oil and diff I figured it was cheap insurance.
As far as mods, after next week the car will be moded as far as I can take it in NY

EC Stage 2 V7 Tune W/ Hand Held Tuner
GTHause Meisterchaft Cat-Back Exhaust
Exhaust and EC are being installed this weekend, loved my EC tune on my C63s and couldn't be happier with their work and support. Not sure I will be able to get dyno numbers but I will be able to get performance increases (Times, and trap speeds) .
Currently after break in on 40F day I was able to achieve. (Times are from Dragy, as I have noticed the MB App is not as accurate. Last summer I already verified Dragy against both my Pbox and my local 1/4 mile track and results of all 3 were within .1 seconds. Not sure why the MB App is not as accurate, it seems its by the cars GPS system and not by the speedometer and odometer strange.)

I do find the 124.XX trap to be a bit slow compared to the F90 CE cars that are running high 127-129's (stock). It appears the weight holds the car back as the tranny is no worse in regards to parasitic loss than the ZF8 of the M5.
Got my EC flash today and thoroughly impressed massive gains in launch and top end acceleration cant wait to do some more testing on my Vbox and at the local track when it opens for the season
This is the Stage 2 ECU tune.
Just to compare my 15 C63s with a stage 2 EC tune dyno'd at
521WHP and 618WTQ
It achieved
0-60 in 3.2s
1/8 mile in 7.36 @ 97.85
1/4 mile in 11.45 @ 118.95
So considering the weight increase its amazing what the AWD and EC can do with this platform and what can be achieved is remarkable. Cant wait to see how additional testing pans out once temps get above 50F here and on a prepped track.
Stock this car achieved (Also In first post)
0-60 in 3.03
1/8 mile in 7.08 @ 99.29
1/4 mile in 11.02 @ 125.89
EC Stage 2 achieved (Below)

1/8 mile in 7.06 @ 104.8

Stage 2 is the most aggressive tune you can get with the OE Cats, unfortunately I live in NY where they test yearly for inspection and I am not dealing with the issue so this is as far as I can push it.

where did you get your tune. Would love to install on my car as well.
Do you have any problem with wheel spin? Keeping all the power on the ground gotta be hard? My car keeps breaking loose this winter.
if it’s dry I only have issues when launching the car and it’s usually from the front tires, due to the massive amount of weight transition to the rear.
I hope you plan on positing a video of what she is sounds like when you are done!
Just finished her, overall I am satisfied. Have to go for a test drive and see how she feels. Very tight fit so I hope nothing rubs or rattles when it expands.
Getting the factory system out sucked, just because it’s all one piece and I couldn’t get the forward bolts of the rear trunk supports braces off to remove them.
Sounds pretty aggressive especially with my EVM. Waiting for a revised tune now from EC to add more burble. Then this car is done.
I am very happy with this setup and it definitely makes the car. I understand MB has to work between the luxury buyer who wants a peaceful cabin and the performance buyer and their system does a good job at that. I am definitely on the other end of the spectrum where I want a little more attitude from my cars and this does that beautifully, especially if you ask EC to include their burble tune option. Now once the track here opens I will be able to get some good data on performance.
