SlagDiz ‘22 GT53 Ordered
Let’s see how long this takes. Spec sheet attached. Graphite Magno with 21”. Expecting at least 7 months to production based on neighbor ordering in august with production date now showing February. Ha anyone heard more? I know delays have been with DashCam and aug video, so may need to remove that from build? Then again, if it is a 7+ month delay, maybe the kinks work out by then?

I’ve got a 43 on order that was already allocated for January delivery. I’ll let you know if it shows up on time. Love the spec sheet! I had to stay within a certain budget so wasn’t able to deck it out as extensively as you did.

Awesome! Can't wait to see how all these orders play out. My only regret so far is not upgrading the wheels. I didn't realize what a unique size they are in terms of aftermarket options.

Delivery Date
Okay so just to keep data points for people ordering… just got told delivery date of April. Much faster than I expected so really happy. This build includes the augmented video for nav and the dash cam which were causing delays just a few months back, so looks like they figured it out. Fingers crossed the dont come back with a lot of changes now that I said that ha…

My January delivery is now delayed until late February at the earliest. Any ETA on yours?

My build allowed me to select summer or all-weather tires I believe. I just left the summer on as I don't have snow/ice but for a few days a year.

Wanted to provide you with an update to my order... still production in april with hope of delivery in May... that said, they removed the following from the build:
-Wireless charging pad
-Trackpace
I assume this is a chip shortage thing. Last year, the problems were dashcam and augmented video system. So hopefully those stay on build this time.

Production
Okay all... got word today that the order is pulled and in production. This was right after I called the dealer to add the extended night package. (was not interested in it until I saw the same car with the package https://www.mblynnwood.com/inventory...x6bb8na047487/
So looks like still on track for end of april? Original order placed 28Dec.

Expected-January arrival finally was delivered a few days ago! I’ll call it a win. I’m super impressed all the way around...looks, performance, technology, etc. Everything feels quality and well built.
A few initial thoughts:
-I was concerned the 19” grey accent wheels wouldn’t satisfy me but so far I’m digging them. I plan on replacing them with 20” black wheels within the year. I think the huge gray calipers will look good as a backdrop.
-The black ash wood trim was a new option this year. I really like it so far.
-Without tint there is a lot of sunlight that reflects off the silver interior trim pieces. Tint scheduled in two weeks.
-I went with the bench seat in the back due to having a toddler plus one more due in a few weeks. There is a ton of space for the car seat even with the front seats in a reasonable position. I had also considered a Taycan but skipped it due to lack of space. Also, dropping the rear seats opens up all kinds of options for cargo (not that anyone would be hauling anything in this car!)

Beautiful car you’ve got here, I have the same grey accent wheels and I use them as winter wheels now and got some Vossen forged 21s for the summer.
You’re going to wanna go for some UV repelling tint because the black interior gets really hot in the summer, I also recommend you do a film on the front windshield I did a 50% (i know its technically not legal but I havent seen any issues with it here in CT).
Let us know how you like the new bench seat option, I wish they had it as an option in the 21’ because not being able to fold down the back seats kinda blows when you wanna go snowboarding or carry anything.

Thanks for the compliment and tint recommendation! This is what I’m looking at...it’s been a while since I’ve had a tint job but apparently technology has come a long way. Let me know if you think what this guy is using is adequate.

Seems like they have a good UV blocking one you’re gunna want it being in Arizona. Get the 99% UV blocker on any percent you think looks nice. I’m in CT and the legal limit is 45% on the front windows so i did 15% in the rear and 25% up front so theres a contrast between the windows and it doesn’t look overly dark. Haven't had any issues with it being too dark for law enforcement, nor does it look limo black

Thanks Med! Any minor or major issues with the GT so far in general?
