Need some advice
Hey, I recently bought my first car a couple of months ago. It's a used 2020 GT63, and I'm concerned about voiding the warranty since I'm unsure how the previous owner treated it. I have an appointment tomorrow morning at 8 AM EST to replace the active wing with a fixed wing. Could someone let me know if this modification, along with coding for race/drift mode and active spoiler delete, would void my warranty? Thanks!

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act requires the manufacturer to prove that a modification (or failure to perform service) contributed to or caused the defect for which you are seeking warranty work. While I am a lawyer, not a mechanic, I doubt changing the wing would void any warranty except for the part being replaced. Coding, on the other hand, could implicate warranty issues if you have a failure with the turbos or in the engine. But, again, the burden of proof is on the manufacturer.

Oh, okay. I recently had the active wing code removed and added race and drift modes. I'm hoping that when I take my car to the dealership for service in two days, they don't void my warranty or clear the codes.
