Fuses, switched power sources, and trickle charging.

My dad has a 2019 AMG GT63 S and it's the vehicle I'm writing about. I'm a newbie, so honestly I'm not sure whether this should be in the C190/R190 forum or C192/R192. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Dad has installed a radar detector in the car and hardwired the power supply to a vacant spot in the passenger footwell fuse box. It's the red wire with a black inline-fuse going to the power supply in the lower left. Fun part: the circuit he chose is not switched, so the radar detector's power supply is always energized and drawing power.

Dad got ill and the car wasn't driven for months, but the radar detector continued to be powered...right until the battery died. When I removed his dead starter battery it showed about 3 millivolts across the posts. The Lithium Ion starter battery in this car costs about $2000, so I'm motivated to not kill the new one I just installed.

Questions:
1. Where can I find a diagram for the passenger footwell fusebox? I'd love to identify a switched circuit to which I can move the radar detector power supply.
2. On other high $ cars I've messed with (Bentley, Ferrari) have dedicated trickle-charging solutions to support infrequently-driven cars, but I don't see a provision for that in this AMG GT63 S. If you know of an easy solution for this car, please share. I can wire in a trickle charge ability under the hood, but it's never going to look as nice as a solution designed for the car, and I'd really like something that doesn't require me to lift the hood each time, or leave a plug dangling from obvious locations.

Just checked with the DMM and found that the 12V "cigarette lighter" sockets in the cabin and in the trunk are both switched. Neither will serve as a convenient place to plug in a trickle charger.
