The nose needs to come down further. You have messed up the aerodynamics with the back down that far. This will allow too much air under the car. These cars must maintain their nose down - tail up attitude for proper handling at speed and to maintain their CD of .27 - See FrankWs car for correct attitude. Good luck - nice car

hmm... the springs specification are from Kleeman. No changes to it when I installed.
I wonder why Kleeman does not consider anything about aerodynamics considering they should have done the neccessary R&D to their product development.

In South Africa where we maintain high speed on the open road for many hours, you would notice the loss of stability.
I really don't know. But it depends on whether you just want it to look nice or be correct. To be correct that nose needs to come down which I guess is why people go for coilovers. I am talking general principles. You might be able to change spring pad thickness. I don't know what is available. In Singapore you won't notice the loss of high speed stability. You can't maintain high speed anywhere on the island unless you go across the causeway to Johor Bahru.

Having said that, I went out for a drive 2 nights ago. took the car up to 210kmh and also put it on cruise control at 170kmh and drove for an hour straight. Everything seems allright. Then again, it might have been better and I dont know......

That my problem. To have the front lowered would make the car looks nicer. But is it correct? I wonder where I can find out on this? If I ask Kleeman, I am sure they would insist it is correct.

Half the cars on this forum are set up incorrectly. They have been modified to look nice rather than perform well in the handling department. Don't loose sleep about it. Your car looks very nice - same colour as mine. Just enjoy the car. But if you want it correct - drop the nose some more.
What should I do to get the nose down on my car? Is there a product that you suggest? Or is there a process I could perform? My 04 240 has about a 4 finger gap in the front and about 2 in the back. In my opinion it looks terrible!! It is a daily driver car. I show houses in it often so coilovers are out of the question for me... I think

Glyn, I know you have mentioned this nose down discussion more than once. I have read it and taken your advice (post sig pic) because it just makes sense, BUT most springs that are offered out there tend to just dump the rear and not the front so much because of rubbing w/ the front fender linings and/or the strut if ya go much lower... With my car, I couldn't lower the front more. Instead, I had to raise my rear end up some...
This whole lowering thing is a very specific science. If you dont lower it just right w/ the right proper wheels/tires/suspension you could run into so many issues that will change the dynamics of the car. I know this all too well.... :x
If anyone has the MB specs for a stock alignment to post... it would be greatly appreciated so I can compare with what my alignment shop insists is stock. TIA!

Consider H&R springs + Koni Yellows.

Please remember this is for RHD you must do the opposite for LHD
Only difference LHD vs RHD is castor angle. +1 deg on passenger side to stop pulling with road camber.
This is how my car is set up & it's standard.
Hey all. posted pics of my car the other day and you's are all sayin to drop it............ I agree but don't know what set up i want. I'm thinking of springs on stock struts and only want to drop it bout 20-30mm what would you's recommend. If i did drop it by the 20-30mm would the car wear out the struts quickly or is that if you go beyond 30 or 40mm thanks
