I just got back last night from picking up an 2003 Rs6 in SC. So, I now I know what I will be driving.
Now, will there enough time to get any of the " updates " done....

Sweet! I am in the process of pulling my friends RS6 motor right now. Talk about a pita to work on! Just a heads up, the turbos tend to go, trans and torque converter are weak if you plan on modding.

Airstrip open for Aircraft Landing?
Anyone know if the one of the two landingstrips will be open for aircraft to land? Thinking about flying in with a buddy to take a peek for a few hours if so on Saturday?

I am going to either fly in or drive in on Saturday. Anyone here going to run their cars? Looks like the 200mph list is devoid of a Merc..

I'll be there running my car, I just recieved confirmation that I can safely spray with my largest jets for up to 30 seconds, so that means I can spray the entire run, 200mph will not be easy, but not out of the question either, if on the bottle.

Long ways off...but right now there is rain in the forcast for next weekend. Hopefully our WX forcaster is wrong as usual. Dan...Dead Wrong Dan!
I hope to fly in with a buddy of mine to watch for a few hours. The Goliad Airport is VFR only....but I guess if it were IFR conditions, the event would not happen anyway.
P.S. Thanks to JRCART for the contact info to ask if the aiport is closed to air traffic.I have left two messages and called several times, but I can't get a call back. There is no FAA notice that the strip is closed...so running with it!

Yep, I had him registered as second driver on my car on official registration for, he and I were all paid up and ready to go, crew was going to be there shooting on friday. I assume they will still be there and filming...just not an AMG, sorry guys.

I got an email a while back but didn't want to say anything, I figured it would be a nice surprize for you guys. Well I will be leaving Cali Tuesday with my pit crew, trailer ,oh and my new addition a 2001 Excursion 4x4 with a 7.3 deisle Turbo (only 40k miles) It has 40" tires, 5 video screens, all the goodies installed Damn Jim I was looking foward to see us attemted this. I will be working with Renntech in the morning to get any last HP and back to the dyno shop for one last NOS upgrade LETS DO IT ..
