POWERCHIP GROUPBUY - Let's get in on this ASAP!!

What's up guys...I missed the GB last month on this so I contacted Matt Bekam, VP of Operations over at Powerchip Group, Inc and he told me that to get the $350 price, we have to get at least 10 people in on it. I'm in, so that's only 9 needed to get this done.

Please reply ASAP so we can get in on this.

Add me to the list please. I am comtemplating a SLK32. But this could save me a big investment right now, if it works.

Why did you choose the Power Chip Group?? Obviously, there are lots of other chip manufacturers.

Well I ended up going in yesterday and they treated me well and finished the job fast!

I asked about how to drive the car after and if I needed to do anything special. He told me it would take a little bit for the new codes to be learned and to drive it a bit more aggressive. I didn't notice too much of a change at first when I drove off like at 11am. But I drove the car all day and by then end of the night I was FLYING! j/k...but I do notice the increase. It's awesome on the freeway. It's much easier and less stress on the car it seems to pass up. It's kinda hard to drive speed limit now because it picks up so much easier. Well worth it IMO.

Above is a picture of my ride sitting there patiently while they took the heart out and were working on it.

Below are a couple of customers rides that were there. I was thinking if this shop is working on a caliber of vehicles like this, they must be trusted.

I recommend this!

I would be very careful with powerchip. They do NOT know what they are doing. Just check out the stuff these morons say in the C63 section. I would be very careful who tunes your engines, as there is no room for error

Well I've had them work on 2 of my cars over last 2-3 years and it's been great. I think when you go down the path of personal attacks you take away any credibility you had to start with.

Seems VERY odd a new member would start a thread about a group buy from out the blue, then another unknown member would chime in to defend PC's honor. I smell sea life....

Firstly, if you think that a "new" member is one from 3 years ago...

Second, I didn't "chime in to defend" anyone's honour... I commeneted on the original post of this thread - may be that's why I have a small post count - by actually sticking to the topic.

People who talk a lot of are bound to have a high post count, which does not mean high credibility.

You can post as many attacks or conspiracy theories or whatever you wish from this post onwards, I shall not be increasing my post count with replies to rubbish commentary.

I just called the guys at Powerchip looking for some extra power for my C300. I thought the price would be $690 but they told me they have a group buy special of $350 for mbworld members, so I signed up right away. I am going to drive up to their office in Costa Mesa tomorrow to have the Powerchip istalled. If I like the result I might want to go ahead and chip my CLK55 as well.

The SLK 32 is an awesome car, what color? Not many people remember but at one time that was the fastest production MB in their line up.

gains of about 20-25hp and 15-20tq.

I'll be driving down to LA next week with my family. Would love to install this on my 1999 ML430, and seeing as you're in Costa Mesa, it won't be too far from my cousin's place. But a couple of concerns:

How long will install take?

Will your shop be open Dec 23-29 for installs?

Can I still get this deal if I arrive after the 23rd?

Any driveability issues I should know about? I'll be driving straight back to Canada on the 29th, and would hate to get stranded.

Hi will, for a while we actually had a shop ML430. The upgrade should take about an hour. If you give us a call and set a date before the 23rdd we can still honor the deal price and we can definitely install it for you on the 23rd. The ML's can use the extra help as there is a lot of weight to get in motion.

Great! So what info will you need before the 23rd (when I arrive), and would you be able to install during the week from Dec 23-28? I don't have a firm itinerary for my stay there, so if your shop is open that week it'd be ideal if I could book an install time once I get in on the 23rd for an install time within the next few days and pay in cash in person. If this will be an issue at all please let me know. Thanks for your prompt replies!
