Per Mikes suggestion, I canceled the PDR estimate. First things first. I need to get that rear lip realigned.

I'm on to replace my steering wheel.

Wishfull
Jesus is the only thing being celebrated for resurrection today I see.

It seems Ivan's "S-cedes" is still DOA.

I'll check back in a week. Too much bickering in both directions. Yawn!

How much did you pay for the steering wheel?

$382 Shipped. I need to buy a Torque wrench that goes above 80psi to torque my wheels and a thin deep reaching torx bit for the wheels.

No Torque wrench either WOW. And you built a turbo motor.
This is one of the most basic tools for ANYONE to have...

Just a little hint torque wrenches measure ft lbs. NOT PSI

lol OP's knowledge has no bounds. Torque is measured in Ft/lb or Nm, not PSI. Also, the wheel bolts do not require a "thin deep reaching torx". All you need is a 19mm socket.

How did the steering wheel replacement go? Did you blow up the airbag trying to take it out? Do you know how to discharge all of the stored electricity in the car prior to disconnection the airbag? How are you planning on pulling the steering wheel off? Gonna hit the back of it with your trusty mallet? You need a proper steering wheel puller for that job. But I bet you already knew all that.

Do you really need a puller for an S Class steering wheel? Many MBs don't. Mine doesn't. The last thing he needs is tool he doesn't need.

I know you meant TORX bit for the two screws behind the wheel.

You don't need a steering wheel puller. Just use a hex bit connected to a wrench and a breaker bar or pipe. Push your knee against the steering wheel so it doesn't move when you're first trying the break the factory loctite seal on the bolt holding the steering wheel in place. It's a b#tch to get free, but once you do you'll be sweaty and halfway done.

Other tips:
- Disconnect both batteries and take out the keyless go button, switch the light button on and off to make sure everything is discharged and wait 30 minutes before proceeeding.
- The connectors for the wires to get the airbag module off are kind of tricky. I think you push the middle tab in with a small flathead to loosen the connector from what I remember. Something like that.
- Make sure you mark the centerline of the spline before pulling off the wheel and have it correspond with the centerline of the new wheel.

MBS55, Steering wheel is not your first priority but you seem determined to get it done. I know Vlad couldn't do aluminum, but you still need to find a shop in your Russian circle of friends that can do aluminum bodywork.

Thanks you for the tips KBN. I'm actively looking for a body shop that can do it right. I bought the wheel out of haste. Now that I have it, might aswell install. I'm halfway done.

Wow, I left this on page 20something.

This is like watching Bollywood or the adventures of Kim Kardarshian.
It gone round the family, round the world and back and historic reflashes. This is like some Cannes festival movie in the making.
If OP started out correctly, video document from start to finish, he is gonna make so much mula selling it. Heck it could even buy him 5 proper brand spanking new S550 or even MercBach, or invest in Uber so he can get one of the S' that they are buying, with the right kɒmreɪd connection. Could have shot it in 3D like Paranormal Activity. Man this would so be a $maney making project.

Anyone out there living close by him to invest in the movie? huh? anyone?

I think we need a toilet break right about here. Calling all car stealerships sponsors! Come one come all. Dont rush now, plenty of space to go around.... 1st priority goes to cedestealership....

No! The last time you "borrowed" the dummy you brought it back wearing a Boy Scout uniform shirt and fishnet stockings. You also apparently decided to make the dummy more anatomically correct by fashioning a rectum for him from a tube sock, which later tested positive for "biological residue", whatever the hell that is. Not cool!
