IS MY SUPERCHARGER TOAST?

Yours sounds like it needs at least front bearings and seal. I think there is a thread where you can get front bearing. The rear are not changable

Hi All,
I hope all is well with the e55's, we have good news and confirmation of the bearings for the supercharger leaving the factory and currently on the water and should be due mid to late April. I will send you all a link to order directly online if this is your preference of ordering or you can place the order with your local Cbc/bsc branch throughout Australia.
Any queries don't hesitate to ask

Good info on the supercharger itself can be found here (use Google Translate):

I used google translate on that German site that has the detailed documentation of the Kompressor. He sent the old SC oil out to a lab and it was still good after 12 years.
Here's the quote: Result of Oil Investigations: The two samples were tested in an oil-laboratory, all values in the green zone. A change of the compressor oil after 12 years at about 80,000 km is not yet necessary.
How would it look in 25 years and 200,000 km on the oil to be seen. But since I have the oil changed, the clock counts over again
.If you're even remotely interested in how the SC works and is disassembled, I highly recommend you check out this site: http://www.hehlhans.de/motorg55-7.htm
Here's link to the page re: SC oil change http://www.hehlhans.de/motorg55-7-3.htm#b803
The SC should only be filled to about a centimeter below the drain hole. Overfilling will cause fluid to seep out of the vent hole and start slinging around the engine bay.
Here's good pic:
