Did you have to paint your mirror covers black? I'd like to get those too. The back seat recliners is for a future project.
Take a pic of the fluorescent sticker, I don't know what that looks like.
How much did it cost you to ship a Mercedes from London to Singapore?? Last year I paid Peugeot $412 to ship me a car from France to London.

lol Zing!
His is probably going up faster than mine is at this point. At least now that he has insurance.
FWIW, If he can get the title and reg, daily driving it for a few weeks while he waits for money for the body work probably isn't the worst idea. Shake out the rest of the mechanicals.

I might wear a bicycle helmet when I go to the car show this weekend. This way everyone knows who drove up in the Special class Mercedes.

Your car is a beauty! Great color matching.

the sticker is very transparent once it sticks, will try to take a shot at night. basically its reflecting the ambient light LED's that i put in the corners of the sunroof and moonroof. this LED strip thing i learned from a thread somewhere this forum so its not original idea.
do some experiments while waiting for your car rear end fix

I unbolted to trunk lid from the hinges. While keeping the old hinges on and replacing the trunk to test fitment, I realized that I may be able to rebolt the trunk to the old hinges.

Yeah, if there's one thing this thread has done its to prove how wrong Dave and I were when we said you had no idea what you were doing. But there it is, all fixed as good as new. And to think you've only spent a thousand dollars.

If anything good has come from this, it's that because of my incessant help in this thread, I was recently nominated as the president elect of DENSA! Yea me!! Screw those old MENSA dorks in their fancy Benzes! I never really liked hanging out with them anyway.

$1372 later the 'Cedes is back from MAACO. Its as though they never worked on a Merc before. Rear interior had a few smudges, they ripped the sound deadening behind the rear backrest(had to super glue it back together). Three of my interior clips were missing. I expected this though. Returned back to the shop and they gave me three clips.
Got a quote on the Paintless Dent Repair today. $175 for both sides. He said they will be smooth.
All that is left after that is getting the Rear bumper/Trunk lid Prepped and Painted.

did you adjust the trunk already? it fits like crap. same with the rear bumper, gaps are hideous. Why didn't you have MAACO do the quarter panel repair?

Looks pretty good actually, considering where it started. The pull did a lot for the quarters. Deck lid does seem a bit high on the driver's side. That probably can be finessed out.

Thanks guys! Its not at all finished yet, trunk will be adjusted, bumper is held with only half its bolts atm. I may not paint the bumper and just begin buying AMG parts Ad-hoc.
Here is the current tally.
$10398 Car
$1700 Shipping
$1372 MAACO Pull/trunk alignment
$68 Trunk Hinges
$150 Rear bumper sensors
$350 Alternator 220v
$350 Key Fob
$14388 so far.
To do:
PDR 1/4 panels
Prep/paint trunk lid--Or replace it(whichevers most cost effective)
I left out the costs of Batteries and DMV paperwork fees.

MAACO wanted to do body work on this and wanted $300 a side. Id rather have whats left worked out by a PDR guy.

You should have let MAACO finish the job on the quarters. PDR won't make it look right, especially if you're the perfectionist that you claim to be. The dents will need to be pulled, then it will need bondo and paint.
