C300 Coupe Edition 1 Photos
So I figured, this thread needs a little photo love, and I've been blessed with taking delivery just the other day of a gorgeous C300 Coupe Edition 1 from Rusnak in Arcadia. I took a batch of photos of it before I brought it to my buddy's mod shop. Hope this helps others make a decision - the car is beautiful.
I am coming from a 2015 C400 (W205) and riding in this car until my AMG arrives.
Some initial impressions:
- The Car is significantly more grounded than the Sedan. It grips harder, the ride is firmer and more poised than the floaty Airmatic suspension I had on the C400
- The Seats in the Coupe are more comfortable than the Sedan's "Sports Seats". They've got a better side grips and the back support seems more solid.
- The Transmission is far more aggressive than on the C400. Downshifts are borderline jerky, but respond faster to my pedal and braking than the C400 did.
- The Engine noise is significantly more refined/exciting than the C300 loaners I've driven. It's actually a bit louder (but not as exciting) as the C400's twin turbo v6. It's got a little bit of oomph and a lower grunt than the C300 Sedans.
- The Burmeister sound system is not as 'full' sounding as the Sedan. I have to turn up the Subwoofer setting to 5 before I could feel the sound I was getting at 0 on the Sedan
- The designo Matte Selenite Grey is beautiful. Like, really. Especially at night. Blows me away in terms of the quality of the finish.
- The designo interior features a gorgeous nut brown + black suede mix and the turquoise stitching is really different. I love E1's because you can see how Mercedes designers play around with the interiors. The only caviet is that there is no MB-tex top stitching on the dash for some odd reason.
- The stock rims are 19" and they're pretty, but too feminine for me. Going to swap them out for 19" Black AMG ones Will post pictures when I get them installed.
If people are interested I'd be happy to post more impressions.
