PermaPlate appearance protection - leatherguard

A spill on the driver's side rear seat resulted in my leather becoming hard and warped (I will try to post pictures later).
I mistakenly purchased (unless it helps me out now) the "PermaPlate appearance protection - leatherguard" from the dealer.
For those who have the leatherguard coverage and who have submitted a claim (whether the claim was honored or denied), can you advise me from your expereince if such damage as I mentioned above would be covered?
(p.s. I already set an appointment to take the car in, but would like to reserach in advance if the damage will be covered or not)

anyways, I'm gonna bite the bullet and purchase the replacement part.
had to call local dealership to get part number and price. $1120.00 for replacement driver's side rear seat backrest leather cover.
that's one heck of a expensive mistake. lesson learned for sure

Well...since you're willing to purchase a replacement skin - before you install (assuming your can return the skin), I would try the following in this order:
Mink Oil
Saddle Soap
Windex - applied with a toothbrush, followed by some trusted leather conditioner (mothers, Zymol, etc.)
If you're willing to divulge - I'm interesting in what could cause that level of "pulling" and staining.
Good luck!
