Oh boy this is going to get expensive....I can see it coming. I just took a set of the stock titanium wheels and had them stripped down and re-created in a burnt-rust color....also had all the badges done in the same color. The will be the winter wheels. Should have pictures soon.

LOL, I do not have any pictures yet, and I do not have a price yet. The shop doing it has been doing this work for us for many years and the last set of wheels that they did the same treatment on and then powder coated were about $300/wheel. I will updates soon. As I need to get the snows on the car with the dropping temps.

Actually, I was thinking of something similar. I also have the titanium wheels, but wanted something brighter, like clear coat on forged aluminum to match the chrome-like trim on the car (no night package). Have you seen your wheels after they were stripped, but before they were coated another color? May I ask roughly how much that costs? I got sticker shock ($10K) when I spoke w/ HRE...
Luckily HRE has done a good job of releasing multiple wheel series that target vastly different pricing ranges. Were you by chance looking into a P1 series wheel?
OP, there are some pretty cool setups you can do with a white estate. You can pretty much go with any wheel finish and it'll match well.

Yes, in general, I have a hard time spending money on any mod that would reduce performance (regardless of how minimal), so I was only looking at wheels that are significantly lighter than stock. I know it doesn't make a big difference on a car as heavy as the wagon, but I have noticed a better steering feel in previous cars with much lighter wheels. I personally don't want to spend $3000+ to reduce performance on a $115K car (even though the wheels may look better).

Completely understandable. Have you taken a look at the HRE FF01 that comes in at less than $3k for the set?
