hi i start a tread for my turbo upgrade...i buy the car last year and i put rado downpipe and stage 2 eurocharged tune i very like that i make 599.9 whp on mustang dyno 11.21 128 best quarter mile time on pilot supersport ... and this winter i upgrade the turbo ...i ship the turbo in mid february and finally receive turbo yesterday ...
I do NOT like that exhaust wheel at all. Smoothing it could cause an imbalance of a wheel that spins 10s of thousand rpm, then again leaving it rough could do the same. I would contact Eurocharged about that
If the compressor wheel inducer shows no sign of foreign object damage, but the turbine side inducer has impact traumas on the blade tips, it can be a sign of internal engine damage,, Valve or piston fragments are possible turbine wheel eaters
yours isnt that bad but still would look into what caused it as something hard seems to come out your engine to bend the turbine blade... i had chipped exhaust wheels before on my audi and it would still boost fine but did spool a little slower... just depends on how much worse it gets and if it has been thrown out of balance or not.... better to just get the wheel replaced and balanced

Have you spoken to them and showed them the picture?

he have the turbo for 4 month i think someone at the shop and machine shop see the wheel and balance like that aniway but i tell to eurocharged what he think about that
I believe the upgraded turbo has not seen the inside of an engine bay yet
It looks like from his original post those are the original turbos from his car which he took off and shipped for wheel upgrade , so if that so ,they would've already been on the car before and Looks like it's just a compressor wheel upgrade ( like weistec W3 ) .. If that's the case, then would still be the stock turbine/exhaust wheel
i send the bad turbo again from canada to texas today ... jerry from eurocharged tell me dhl damage the turbo in the shipping ... because he tell me his guy from machine shop cannot be able to balance the turbo if the wheel is damaged like that thats so its sure its the shipping acordin to him...
i could see the exterior turbo housing and blowoff valves getting damaged in shipping, but not sure how they managed to damage the turbine/exhaust wheel as its shielded pretty well inside the housing, unless some jerk opened up your box at DHL and damaged them on purpose with a screwdriver (especially since the fins are bent out.... if somehow something was able to get accidentally poked into the exhaust wheel in shipping, it would of bent the wheel fins in, not out)
Wow that's a lot of damage. Definitely wouldn't install on my car
Its supposed to take 3 weeks too ... And i paid 300$ custom 2-300 and shipping 2 time and when the car is ready is make around 5 month 😟 All my friend ride her car this summer since april (winter from november to mars in quebec) and i ride the car only in maybe in the next month if he send me the other turbo fast ... If i know before i never put the turbo upgrade on my car !!!

You're far nicer than I am. Good luck...I hope it has a much quicker turnaround this time and you get what you should've received the first time. Keep us posted.

I hope too he tell me he send me the other turbo when he receive the bad turbo (3/4 day from now shipping) but today he tell me he send me the other turbo when he comeback from is holiday i think is holiday finish 27 or 28 june 😑 im decouraged about that ! my car is at the garage for more than 4 month now i dont know when the car is ready and i dont know if the tune he send me is good if is not good i need to send the ecu another time i very hope not and finally enjoy the summer !
Why are ALL the fins bent back? why do the fins need to be bent to fit and not made to fit? I do not have a lot of experience with turbo fins so I may be wrong but this looks like the fins were bent to fit and not sized right from the beginning
That wheel damage is 100% not done by the shipper. Even the wastegate and inlet damage is hard to believe. This would have to be direct contact with a more dense metal to cause the damage. Not only that, I'm positive the turbos came in a packed box which makes it more difficult to believe DHL did the damage.
On a lighter note, this is going to be awesome once you finish up. I want to hear those turbos spool badly. I'm kicking myself for not being more patient and buying a bi-turbo, but I couldn't pass up the deal I got. Keep up the good work and post videos for us!!
