Sanch, are you open to cutting your factory dump pies to remove them?
I may concider this option if the fracture items can be re welded.
If you are ,did you see the below dump pipes that are two piece and manufacturer states they don't require removal of transmission to fit.
These are manufactured in Russia I think.
Rebellion Automotive in the UK also offered a RHD dump pipe set that also didn't require removal of transmission but I haven't heard anything further since their initial release.

Yes, happy to cut them out - I'm not fussed about welding them back on... they will never be the same.
This is why I'm looking at Dp with cat options.
Good to know that there are 2 piece DP, might look into that.
Dropping trans/engine is a big no for me... at this early stage of having this car anyway.
They can get the ECU from the wheel arch so that's ok.
Can downpipes be done without ECU tune? or the engine lights will turn on?
they can be done without the tune, but ur 02 sensor check engine will be on. The tune codes out the 02 sensors. I have the weistec dp which i got for 2k$ the smell isnt bad at all and makes the car significantly louder which i love alot. The Car stock was just way too quiet for me

Good to know thank you for the feedback... Weistec 1
I would like to know if catted downpipes require the engine and transmission to be removed for install. I have no problem cutting the stock ones out. But I fear that they need to be cut out because the cats. If that's the case then at downpipe with cats will not be able to be installed like one without the cats

I was thinking the same thing.... unless the new cats are smaller and can squeeze through.
The cats are part of the downpipe. You can either buy downpipes with cats to replace the stock ones or go without.
thank you!!! both dp with cats and without same installation? you don't need to remove the transmission.. whats the difference between dp with cats and catless.

I like the above idea of the 2 piece DP as well.
I think the cats sit quite low so only the top part of the pipe will be fed up to the turbo when installation is done without the removal of the transmission.
I also wonder if catted dump pipes are two piece or if they come in one piece as well.
In the picture below you can roughly place where the cat would sit in relation to the transmission.
Does anyone know what the legalities for deleting cats are in Australia?
They look great, I really wished they had a shop here in Oz
I've heard that DPs are really loud. Have you considered just cutting the secondary cat out? If you plan on cutting the DPs out anyway, might be a good first port of call.

This is also on the cards... But just waiting on feedback regarding the secondary cat removal before making a call.

From what I've been told, it's raspier, 25% louder at full throttle, no real difference at idle and no drone. I'd go for it but I don't like the idea of cutting up such expensive pipes! That's why I'm getting the axle back pipes replaced with custom straight pipes (no perf exhaust, so no valve issues).
I have Weistec dp installed, I decided to drop the transmission to keep the stock cat down pipe. I have it done last August till now and trouble free. Of course with Weistec ECU tune my car have transform to another level and it sounds a lot better and it's really loud! More fun to drive!
I just move to the U.S few year ago in California. Dont know the legalities.. I know downpipes catless is more loud than the dp with cat but what happens when you smog test the car without cats? Does the exhaust have primary and secondary cats. I also check downpipes usually around $2k for the parts.. what do you think about this merchant i saw on ebay selling dp catless for $1300. Pls see attached file
I just received my FI exhaust downpipes and they are also 2-piece. I'm almost sure you don't have to drop the tranny to get them installed but your stock dp's will be worthless.
Also I think all Catless downpipes will sound about the same.
