Finally got my Godhand lip installed last weekend. Took about 20 minutes and fits perfectly. Super easy to put on when you have a lift and 2 people. I love it.
So 3 years ago, I bought the car from E63//AMG and he had this lip on the car
Unfortunately, 2 winters later I ended up clipping it on some snow
I just recently got the lip ordered again and decided to install it today.
The lip seemed like a 95%-99% direct fit. It had few blemishes and finger prints on the inside of the lip, but thankfully the carbon fiber part seemed intact.
I ended up using 3m double sided tape to stick it on the bumper. And then used half a dozen or so self tapping screws to secure it in place. To really get the lip to sit flush with the bumper, you need to kind of press down from the inside of the bottom of the bumper to mold to the lip. Think of it as molding the bumper to the lip, and not trying to bend the lip to couture to the bumper.
Just a few things I noticed. Aligning the bumper is pretty simple. Just make sure the tip of the nose is in the middle, and the ends of the diffuser are symmetrical at the front bumper near the wheel arch.
One thing tho, I recommend taping the 3m tape a little further away from the Carbon Fiber sides. If its too close to the CF sides, you may end up seeing them sticking out when the bumper is on there. A very small thing, but worth noting.
Overall my car is back to where it was. Thanks Gary.
