I see your in Boston we should meet up some time . Nice to see a fellow AMGE55 owner in New England.

Thanks for the kind words. Yes I'm def up for a get together just let me know when and where. I'm sure there are a bunch of car meets around the city.
I'm in Somerset.
Few new pics. Headlights and the star are back. Progress has been slow. Just the bumpers are left but I started doing the head and cam in the Z so my free time has been spent else where.
Progress has been nonexistent on the E55. I've been spending all my free time
doing H/C/E on my Z06. I also redid the suspension and add some new shoes. This project should be don't this weekend. Hopefully I'll have the E55 done by the end of May.
what is the shorty header install like vs full length headers? Can you get away with shortysand have a much easier install?
Id say the install shouldn't be much different beside the shorty will use the factory down pipe and the long tubes needs some flanges welded on.
My problem was with broken studs, it would have happened no matter what header was installed.
On a side note I finished building the motor in my Z so I'll be back working the AMG very soon.

Love the c6 Z!
So Shorties is a pretty straightfwd install? Would be entertaining doing this while we build the custom exhaust on the vehicle (2.5, x, res and secondary delete).

Anyone looking to sell their shorties too
Just buy new long tubes. Kleeman had new ones under 1k shipped to your door.

Is long tube install easier to install? I wanted to do that originally, but thought you needed to Motor drop and much more time to change vs. shorties.

I've read a lot about antifreeze over the years and not all you read is true.
I've owned this car for 15years and 250k plus miles and it's had green in since my first flush. It currently has the blue Mercedes antifreeze in it only because a sales rep gave me a case for free.
I've been tied up between my sons baseball, house projects and playing with the Z I have touched the E55 in months. I'm hoping to get back at it in the next few weeks.
After a busy year and not getting around to finishing the wrap I decided to paint the car. I didn't drive the car at all this year. I removed all the wrap the past two weeks and sent the car off for paint today. I also had all the wheels refinished. Looking forward to have the car back to black and daily driving her again next year. Hopefully I'll have her back by the end of the month. Pic to follow.
