Fired her up and she sounds like an F1 car with open exhaust. Had 2 problems first was a leaking tranny cooler line witch needed some tightening and the temp sensor wasn't reading. The sensor didn't want to come out and after an hr of fighting with it she came out in pieces. I broke all the plastic off and pealed two spots and wiggled it back and forth until it came out. Wish I would have changed this when the motor was out and everything was off the front. Oh well lesson learned.
I really hope you took a video of how it sounds with open exhaust! I had my cat-back section off earlier this year, and with 4 cats in place it still sounded amazingly civilized. It was at that point that I realized the resonator delete I was undertaking was not going to have the effect I was hoping for, lol.

Removed all the rust and repaired the fender and rocker on the passengers side. I painted the complete rocker with chassis saver to seal it. Took about 6hr but it came out pretty nice.
After removing the rear bumper I sealed all the metal behind it. I thought the factory bumper need to much work for my liking and had a previous repair I didn't like so I found a almost perfect one on Long Island and made the 8HR round trip this morning.
Made some good progress today. New trunk lid and fender installed. I also ground down the drivers side rocker and painted it with chassis saver. Next will be repairing the hole. I'm going to cut a hole in the bottom and put a patch in from the bottom.
did you waxoil new panels from the inside before you bolted them on the chassie?
do u drive your car in winter?
MB plant skimped on dipping bodies in baths with chemical rust protection when they manufactured these cars.
german bean accountants were saving every penny on w203 and 208 and W210 so they could wire funds to USA so Chrysler people could plug every rat hole in the Chrysler company when MB owned Chrysler.
then MB sold Chrysler with a massive loss.
it was a huge fiasco for MB buying Chrysler company
when you fix your car, drive it only on dry days and park it in your garage during winter if you intend to keep her for many years?

I painted the back side of the fender with chassis saver.
No she doesn't get driven in the winter and she is usually stored indoors during the winter months. I only driver her during the summer. She should last a long time after I'm done with all the updates.
that's nice to read you store your car during winter.
a good idea is to take your car to a automotive shop who works on sealing internals with wax oil.
w210's do rust from inside with rust going out and rust comes from outside going internal
although if it's too late to rescue a car which is badly rotted it's no point in spending money on wax oiling internals
Made some good progress this weekend. Replaced all 4 door and swapped over the blue rear glass and removed the tint. I'm install a nice aftermarket stereo system so just waiting for the speakers and amps to come in and button up the front doors.
I also decided that I'm going to wrap the car in navy blue for next summer 😊
Started to wrap the car in navy blue. I'd say it much more difficult than it looks. Also cut up the rear deck and made the subwoofer brace.
Slow but steady progress hopefully she will be done by spring.
