About to buy a c63
Most likely going to buy this c63 in the next week or so and trading in my slightly modded G37. https://www.mercedes-benz-winnipeg.ca/inventory/certified-used-2013-mercedes-benz-c63-amg-rear-wheel-drive-4-door-sedan-wddgf7hbxda842068
Anything specific to look over, make sure it's already done, etc? I understand a lot of prior issues were resolved in 2012+
Thanks in advance for your help.
P.S, I understand completely I'll be killing a set of rear tires a summer, already do in the G 😂

2013's were known to spontaneously blow up anytime you go over half throttle. If you notice there are no 2013's on this board.
And they all smell like Doritos inside

There's a buying section in the FAQ you must've missed stickied at the top of the page.
Spark notes: 2012+ are good cars. Drive it. Feels good? Buy it.

It's a CPO and being 2013 maybe a bit of factory warranty left? Nothing to look at they are pretty solid cars.
The car has the additional performance stuff on it so it has more like 480hp, not 450.

No worries, Couple more notes, don't become the guy that starts multiple threads with your intent to buy or asking if "this c63 is worth it/priced right/etc." and don't start a thread once you buy asking what tune to go with and how to make your exhaust louder.
Most of (really all of) the basic / common things to know are in the thread I linked you to. Just take your time to go through it.

Those red donuts in the headlights reminds me of some hawkeye Sti's that look great with similar touches.

for the C63, I've been really eyeing the MHP exhaust. It looks like this forum has some gallery threads and stuff as well, so I'll browse that for ideas on Summer rims as I'll most likely use the OEM ones for winter. From what I've researched there's a need to replace the stock tires as they aren't good enough for the power.
Attached are a few pictures of my G. I went with a more subtle approach on the build.
However, here's what I had.
-Stillen Gen 3
-Hotchkiss Sway Bars (Front and Rear)
-Paddle Shifters
-BC Racing BR's w/Covers
-Summer
Vossen CVT's rears 20x10.5 w/285/30/20 & front 20x9+32 w/245/35/20 Falken FK453s
-Winter
Niche Targa's squared 19x8.5+25 w/245/40/19.
-GT Haus CBE's in SUS.
-Z1 Motorsports Aluminum under shroud
-Hardwired power cable for my Beltronic STI Magnum
More aesthetics related:
-Interior lights swapped for 6k LEDs.
-Diode Dynamics 5k switchback turn signal bulb
-Diode Dynamics 5k (1400 lumen) Fog Lights
-Diode Dynamics 5k Side marker bulb
-Osram CBI's
-Vinyl wrapped gunmetal chrome delete (trunk lip, window trim, front grill)
-Vinyl wrapped gloss black (fiji mountain front and back)
-30% tint all around
-1 layer of nightshade on the tail lights (Yes I know, shame on me)
-Diode Dynamics Turn as Tail Module
-4 Layers of Ceramic Pro on the car, 1 layer of heavy duty on the Vossens and 1 layer of Carbon Collective on the Niches.
-Access Evolution Wide Angle Blue Mirror Covers
Had these laying around ready to be installed, but you know things change haha:
-SPC Rear Camber, Toe and Toe Bolt
-Akebono BBK
-Stoptech Rotors 2 piece slotted front and 1 piece rears
-Stoptech S.S Brake lines
-Hawk HPS Pads
-Uprev Tune
-Traction Control Defeat/AWD to RWD Switch
-Starry Night Halos Switchback LED Tube
Had on order:
-Fast Intentions 2.5 inch resonated test pipes

One thing I'll say that's actually relevant is that the performance gap between the G37 and the C63 is well documented on paper. In practice and in the real world, the gap is even wider. The C63's ability to brake, drop gears and disappear, and cruise comfortably as a luxury car, far exceeds the G37's ability to do any of the aforementioned things. You will not be disappointed. (Coming from a former G37 coupe owner).

edit: just realized you werent actually talking about the transmission... just the ability to go fast.

I'm gonna say negative on that. The G37 was super so comfortable as a daily. The C63 has insane bolstering and feels more rigid (which for a performance car it should). I think the gearbox on the G37 was better too. I feel like I could grab gears way faster than the C63. The C63 seems like a slouch at times when shifting, the G37's DCT was fast as hell.

The C63 seats are the most comfortable seat's I've had to date. If they're too narrow you either need to lay off the juice or the Doritos...

As for driving, the comments about the transmission above.....cant agree at all. The transmission in the G37 sucks, and dont get me started on the engine. its soooooo rough. Its a good car for the wife, good "luxury" and amenities that I got for the price.

Thanks for the post, I'll show it to my girlfriend so she can stop thinking I'm cheating from the interior doritos smell
