Great highway mileage!
Yeah, but check it after driving a full tank, that would be much more meaningful. Running down the highway at 60 for an hour or so doesn't get any of the stop and go, which is much more real world.
I've been tracking mine for the last two years and best I have ever gotten is around 27 straight highway for a long trip and around 24 for my normal commute which has a good amount of highway miles in it now. If you get 30 on a full tank with daily driving, you got something real special there.

I can get 31mpg in my 4matic wagon on long highway trips (300 to 400 miles) if I keep my speed between 65 to 70mph. (with a full load of passengers and luggage). This is using the # gallons pumped vs miles driven method, not via OBC. Very impressed with the highway mileage of this car. Around town though, I get 16 to 17mpg. but that's lots of stop and go and speeds usually in the low 20's and trips usually less than 3 miles.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Since I've got the car I've put on 8993 miles and am averaging 26 mpg, both city & highway driving.
I am very happy with that!

As it is, I'm driving an E550 (W211) and have averaged an overall 28+ mph for the last 60,000 miles. Commute runs over 30 are common with a best of 33+. And I always try to get a 0-60 blasts in.

The best I have done with my E250 was on a trip (750+miles) from South FL to Asheville NC. On most of the trip I was 47mpg or so but when I got into the mountains of NC I did 54.7mpg. Think it was do in part to coasting on the down legs. I do a lot of city and not very much highway (40+). So my average is 29mpg at an average of 21mph in very HOT FL.
