I just got a 2014 c250. In the center console there's a bigger plug and a regular USB plus.
It tells me it can't read the iPod when I try to just use the USB plug. I got some sort of adapter to plug into the bigger port and plug the iPod into that and it still says "No Device"
Can someone please tell if I need a special cord, or if it can't be done.
The USB plug will charge my iPod or iPhone but will not read it. The other plug is the old 30-pin Apple connector and it plays my old iPod fine. I got a lightning to 30-pin adapter for my car used it between the 30-pin and my iPhone 6S and it plays that fine.
Is there not a 30-pin connector for the iPod in the console? You do not use an Apple cord. The car has a cord that plugs into the iPod, not the other way around.
Must have premium 1 package to have iPod integration. If car does not have HK, no integration.
Ah... For some reason I thought with 2012+ they all had "ipod integration". I see now it was an available standalone option but was only included by default with Premium 1.
