Does the C43 come with stock tint?

I'm looking to tint my white C43 sedan...debating on going either 40% or 50% considering that white cars tend to make the tint look darker then it really is. i feel like the windows are already slighted tinted, which would amplify the tint %. Can anyone confirm?

In a sedan, 20% rear windows and back window, 35% driver's and front passenger windows.

I don't believe there is any stock tint on the fronts, maybe a little on the rears.

I did 15% on all the sides and 50% on the windshields, looks great in person, pictures make it look MUCH darker than it actually looks, you can still see through it no problem (it's not like limo tint where you can't see in).

This is Formula One Pinnacle 15%, again the pictures make it look WAY darker than it does in person. You can easily see through it in person, where-as the picture makes it look like you can't see into the car. Some people do 30% front, and 15% rear, which also looks good.

Honestly I scoured the internet looking at pictures myself, which I assume you're doing; however, what you should really do is go down to whatever tint shop you're getting the tint at, and look at some examples in person. Pictures always make tint look 5x darker than it actually looks in person, so the pics are really misleading. I thought 15% looked way too dark in pictures and was planning to do 30% all around, but after seeing what they both looked like in person I went with the 15.

For sure, i've gone to my tint shop but i was only able to use their 50% panel to see how it would look against the car...I agree with your comments though, its a lot different looking in person vs via pictures..however im using the pictures as a guide more then anything....you're ride looks awesome btw...needs to be lowered a bit tho

Oh for sure, maybe ask if the owner/any employees have tint done on their cars and if you can go take a look? The owner of the shop I went to had his wifes car there that day and she had 15% all around so I got to see how it looked, and his employee had a wrangler with 30% all around as well.

And thank you! I agree she needs to be lowered a bit and needs new wheels desperately, really want to get coilovers rather than springs though and from everything I've read you can't get coilovers in the US yet (correct me if I'm wrong). It snows a lot where I live so I need to be able to raise it back up for the winter without too much of a hassle haha.

Can really only see the difference when sun shines through from the opposite side like in these pics.

2017 C43 Coupe
I have a brilliant blue coupe that was factory ordered. It came with no tint. I recently put 35% ceramic all the way around and it looks great, but I almost regret not getting 20%. I was afraid it would be too dark. Looks great though.

I think if I had the sedan I would do 35% front and 20% back or 20% all the way around.

A Benz and a BMW
40% and 50% is definitely too light for a tint job. Generally accepted legal tint limit in Ontario for the driver and front passenger windows is 35%. There is apparently no legal limit for how dark the back windows can be. I had read there was law going in to effect for cars manufactured after Jan 1st 2017 that only permits tints lighter than 70% for the driver and front passenger windows...not sure if this actually is in effect.

Most states in the US also have tint limits for front windows but not back. However, it varies by state.

In my state, limit for driver/passenger front windows is 35%, although it seems generally accepted that you can probably go down to 20% without drawing too much attention.

I can't believe the Brilliant Blue cars didn't come with factory tint. Here's a pic of my car a day after I bought the car. You can tell there is definitely a sort of bluish tint on the windows and windshields. In fact, some C-class owners prefer this factory look and will not tint their cars. I'm guessing a blue car has a contrast on the glass that makes it look non tinted. The blue cars I looked at on the internet looks like they have factory tint. It's just not as obvious as on a white or lighter colored car.

Without any aftermarket tint.

I also read somewhere that factory glass (at least for higher end cars) come with 70-85% VLT. If you're concerned more about darkness rather than heat rejection, find a good reputable tint company and ask for their recommendation. Tint installers know what the legal limit is in your state or country. Ceramic films are the best for heat rejection (TSER). I went with Huper Optik which I believe is the best in ceramic technology, quality, and longevity. I'm not into darker tint so I have 40% (55% TSER) on all windows, rear windshield and sunroof. I have Huper Optik Klar 85 (32% TSER) on the front windshield, you can hardly tell there is any tint.

With aftermarket tint.
