C63s coupe edition 1 VIN
I know this sounds like a weird request but I'm trying to order the edition 1 rear spoiler and I need a VIN number or OE Diso**** parts will not take a return if it's the wrong part they ship. I was looking for the plain gloss black rear spoiler and I seen on here the part number A2057901500 and I was quoted $216 however when I took my car in today I asked the parts guy to look up the edition one rear spoiler and he found part number A2057900888 and said it was $2118.00 WOW I am thinking this is a carbon fiber spoiler and I just want the black plastic one.
I would very much appreciate anyone that can help out. I want to order the A2057901500 part but with out a VIN if it's wrong then they will not take it back as a return.

Will do, I should know the exact PN tomorrow, all I needed was a edition 1 VIN number and found one that was for sale on EBay and copied the VIN number down. I think the 2k price must have been for a carbon fiber spoiler from MB. I am going to talk to OE Discount parts tomorrow to confirm the A2057901500 PN and check with parts department at MB that the A2057900888 was for a carbon fiber spoiler. Basically I was trying to just order it at my local MB dealer but if they can't beat the OE discount parts price then I will order from them. I know people have bought the spoiler off here and apparently the a2057901500 is the right one I'm just making sure. I hope it doesn't need to be painted and comes black.

Well i am back in town and I arrived home to my new spoiler and it is perfect. I put it on the next day after my return and it fit perfect.
If your looking for an Edition 1 spoiler to replace your existing one then this is the right one. All original straight from Germany and the fitment is excellent. Thank you again to msgadget from OEdiscountparts

Easy easy, get some 10 or 20# fishing line, alcohol and a 3M eraser wheel that goes on drill. Run the fishing line under the old spoiler back and forth cutting through tape. going slow works best and don't apply to much pressure. once you work through the tape and the old spoiler comes off then use the 3M eraser wheel on your drill to remove whats left of adhesive on trunk lid. This eraser wheel will not ruin paint, you just want to work it back and forth and it will remove all the old tape. Its literally like a big rubber eraser that spins and removes the old tape adhesive. I got mine off Ebay for like 21 dollars, go to youtube and do a search on 3M eraser wheel and watch videos on how easy it is. Once all the tape is removed make a mixture of 50/50 alcohol and water and spray down the rear of the deck lid where the new spoiler is going to remove wax and contaminants. once its wiped down use blue painters tape to hold the new spoiler on while you align everything. I have to say since its a MB original part it only really wants to go on one way and that is perfect. It contours to the rear deck lid perfect. once you have it lined up pull the red 3M tape tabs slowly while the spoiler is in position on the car and you are done. I would pull the tape covers off while its on the car instead of removing before installing that way you know its where you want it Just go slow as you peal off the red tape cover the spoiler will be attached. Also YouTube is your friend here if you don't understand what i'm saying with this. I honestly removed the old spoiler and installed the new one in less than an hour. Also I would do this on a warm day with lots of sun, I let mine sit in the sun for the whole morning and did it around noon. Also when your done let it sit in the sun for a while to let new tape take hold. I drove mine about an hour after install with no problems.

The edition 1 spoiler is a bit more aggressive (larger) than the OEM. I have a slight preference for the OEM shape but the new one is black and it looks much better IMO than the white spoiler.

I finally received mine and I installed it myself like you suggested. I was able to remove the old spoiler with a fishing line and simply used my hands to peel off the remaining tape. It worked pretty well, thanks for all the great tips.
