Have been trying to order a gloss white/chrome key fob for ages now but the part still isnt available.


While waiting I ordered the gloss black/chrome instead, looks a lot better than the stock key if you ask me.


Arrived today.

Yes, when ordering the car I got the option of selecting different fobs.


White with matte silver finish
White with chrome finish
Black with chrome finish


or the standard black with matte silver.


Figured I would order the white/chrome as a spare part once the car rrived but they seem blocked for some reason.

Is it a complete replecement key or is it possible to "facelift" an existing key?

Are those keys the European version? Will they work with North American spec cars?

Not worried, the former key system (w205 etc) uses the very same material but in a different design.

Euro spec yes, the US keys have a specific US SA-Code
All later model Mercedes keys (FBS4 system)are ordered as blanks, then they need to be programmed by a dealer, dont know if it is possible to code a EU spec key to a US vehicle.

I.m in the netherlands, and still waiting for my white key aswell, i ordered it when i got the car. But it still isn't here. Shame that mercedes gives it as an option but then can't deliver. Do you happen to know why there are no white keys out there Vic?

Is that square spot for a simcard for cars with the self parking feature? I never figured it out
