C63 troubles with Monitors Failed New York State Inspection
I am having trouble passing inspection.
My car is a 2009 C63 AMG with MBH headers mid pipes and IPE Catback with OE Tune.
My inspection expired end of March and ever since then I have been trying to pass NYS inspection.
I keep getting the same monitors fail,
EVAP
O2
HEATED O2
Cats
I have read somewhere on the forums that since my car is 2009 I can have 1 monitor failed and still pass inspection, but right now I have 4 failing I have to find a way to make 3 of them pass.
Is there a tune to by pass the monitors or trick the computer into thinking the monitors all pass? or another way to pass inspection?

I can see only the rear oxygen sensors be turned off by a tune.
This and not having converters would however cause converter efficiency codes.
There should be no front oxygen sensor codes.

I was told with OE that the tune keeps the o2 sensors on.
I am allowed one monitor to fail and it has to be the cat monitor.
I've read on here before that some people have passed but I just don't know how, I have the same setup as them.

I was told that the tune will not effect the monitors, however the tune does clear the CEL allowing me to pass that part of the inspection.

You wont pass without cats. I had to put mine back. Now I have a test pipe for my headers and I switch to the 200 CEL cats for inspection

Before u get your car flagged and have to take it to a specialist that will go over your car and will nail you for everything you need to know a few things.
The big issue is no inspection station will pass you with any failed monitors.
Some state will pass you with up to 2 monitors not ready.meaning they have not done there full cycle to give pass or fail. Depending on year but with our cars and years we get 1 not ready and will get a pass.
Are your monitors failed or not ready? Here in Mass they make you have the car running for like 10 min and makes it harder to pass if you are timing the drive cycle long enough to get mist monitors to pass and keep that one not ready.
Here is oe 104+ tune on my car.i have stock exhaust so I should fail the O2 when I run headers but I will run hi flow cats to hopefully pass everything.

Being catless is another reason.
Welcome to NY.
You really only have two options, both involving a reflash or a new tune. Either your current tune gets an update so that it does not continuously clear the CEL, hence leaving the monitors alone, and with that updated tune you get extremely lucky that no CELs pop up while catless.
Or
You retune and get cats in there which is the most likely method to get your car to pass.
There is no tune in this market that can trick the car into being "ready" on the monitors.
You could also just flash back to stock for now instead of trying a new tune. But if you leave the headers on you'll probably get a CEL and end up failing. Thinking further, if you go to a stock map, throw the CEL, and the only code is for the cats then there is your 1 monitor.
Regardless, I've been there, done that, and what I can tell you is how your car sits now it will not pass. There is no way around it, either. Gotta bite the bullet and revert to stock or at the very least contact a tuner and be very specific about not disabling the monitors.
