Spacers
Hey, guys. Sorry for this post as I asked this before but misplaced the response. Can someone please confirm that the max spacers I can use on my car with stock wheels is 15mm front and 5mm rear? Thanks.

I run 12mm front and rear with a 265, lowered on H&R with 17mm spring pad. No rubbing at all. Stock wheels, 14 sedan.

I'm running continental DWS06's.
Not sure on brand. I got the on eBay, 12mm hub centric. Also don't forget longer studs.

I'm running:
15mm front
12mm rear
Note that you may have to grind down your extended bolts in the rear as it may not clear the parking brake assembly. I had to grind them down 1-2mm....

I'm running 275 35 28 Michelin PSS in the rear with a 5mm spacer on factory wheels (2015 C63 Coupe at stock ride height) with no rubbing. My set up would be roughly equivalent to a stock 255 tire with a 15mm spacer. When my 275s wear out I'll be going to a 285 30 18 in the rear with my 5mm spacers and I'm confident it will be fine (similar to stock with a 20mm spacer I believe). So, although I haven't tried it, I suspect a 15mm spacer in the rear with stock wheels and tires would work (assuming longer bolts and not lowered).

I am running the exact same tire size in the rear with a 255/40/18 front and I agree 285 looks like it would fit with out any problems

Holy hell, man. You all make it sound so easy to cut off a few mm from the bolts, but I give up. Tried a hack saw at first, but that wasn't going anywhere. Then I tried a metal cutting wheel, and that even takes forever. I'm just gonna buy shorter bolts (my spacers came with longer bolts, and quite frankly the package was cheaper than just spacers, so I'm treating the bolts as free). ACG Automotive in SD is the place to go, from what I remember. Am I right?

This is what I use to shorten lug bolts.
Angle grinder with thin cut off disc attached.
Vice with safety jaws fitted.
The thin cut off wheels should be available at the hardware store. I never timed it but I am sure it takes less than 30 sec. a bolt. I clamp the bolts in a work mate to hold them secure and the plywood surfaces do not mar the bolt heads. You can use a vise if you have non marring clamping surfaces for it. ACG may have a good enough selection of lug bolts if you are more comfortable going that route.
