Would a 2009-2011 SL63 steering wheel fit a 2005 E55?

Does anyone know if this will bolt up to the 2005 E55?

Ive got the w211 E63 steering wheel and it's a huge step up from the stock. But, I would like to know if the 2009+ SL63 wheel will work?

I have an SL wheel in mine that looks nearly the same that the PO put in my 04 w211. He did have to make some other modifications. @JoeNobody is the one who did it, he may have some previous threads that illustrate the mods

Being an 05, you might be okay as is. This is the post that I was referring to https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/488859-newest-steering-wheel-w211.html#post6190336

If thats done then you may be able to bolt on. I'll post a pic of mine tomorrow.

hey ... I did it. being an 05 its plug and play every button works and lights up.

however this wheel and bag is expensive and hard to find. good luck!

p.s. theres is another version of this SL steering wheel with an opening on the lower middle spoke. I belive it does NOT work well.
