2013 W204 - Depo headlights - proud to install it myself
hi guys,
Just installed depo projector headlights on my c300. I am not a very skilled handyman. I was very proud to do this myself.
However, I have the following three issues.
Any feedback is appreciated.
1. I broke the the site shield, partly. This is the plastic piece that sits on top of grill. I was still able to install it back with some lose ends. New part costs $90. Should I do the replacement?
2. Headlights don't seem to have fit as they did originally. fenders and bumper dont line up to the edges of the headlight cleanly. How do I fix this?
3. I would like to replace the the halogen bulbs with LED preferably, HID if not. Which one should I go for?
Thanks,

you're better off going with an HID conversion over an LED solution as that housing isn't set up to properly project LED surface moymoun light spread. You'll end up with reduced throw distance, light scatter, and dark spots. Let us know if interested, we have Morimoto HID canbus conversation kits that will be easy to install.

To answer your questions:
1. I read a lot online that some people don't bother replacing it, but if you must, try some junkyards or eBay. I'm sure you can find it for cheaper.
2. Check out this video regarding adjusting the fitment of the headlights. It has all the info you need.

Installed the same headlights on my C300 and a Morimoto HID 5500k 9005 kit two weeks ago. The light output on these projectors is not great. Cut off line is all over the place and hot spots. Thinking of retro fitting some better projectors from morimoto. Going to open them up to see what the projector looks like so I know which one to order.

No its the whole projector lens on these. Its a cheap one so you don't get great results. You get a lot of glare and its not a straight line. I would give an output like 7/10 compared to what it is supposed to look like. Think with a projector swap it can look great.

hi "AZN Optics"
This link you gave me doesnt work - "http://www.aznoptics.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_8&product s_id=65"
It says "sorry the product was not found"
You have run out of the specific product for 2013 C300?

I fixed it. Forum injected a space between the ..product and s_id.. in the URL.

From DEPO's listing on eBay: Bulb Specifications: 9005 (High/Low).
So yeah it's definitely 9005 for the main beam.

I would stay away from the 55W and go with the 35W because I read all over the forum that the 55W emit a lot of heat and could melt the headlight housing a bit and won't provide a whole lot more light compared to 35W.
