Steering column adjustment stopped working

Disclaimer: I am a deployed reservist and won't be back around the car until sometime in Sept. My wife tells me the steering wheel adjustment has stopped working. Is there a fuse I can direct her to check, and if so, where is it - engine bay or trunk? Don't want her to go the whole summer with her own steering wheel stuck in my position. Obviously if it's more than a fuse it'll just have to wait for me to get back.

Thanks,
Darel

2014 E550-sold 😩
There have been many posts over the years regarding the loss of this function across all MB models. I don't believe it is a fuse issue. Here is one thread:

You can try those methods, but in the W211, it was well known that the gear that moves it up and down can break, especially if you put weight on the wheel while it's moving. I've turned my easy entry/exit feature off to avoid this possibility.

Thanks guys. I told her to try disabling / reenabling the easy entry to see if it goes away. Otherwise I'll have to deal with it another time.

I have a 2010 and the automatic easy entry/exit feature stopped working a few years back. This is where the S/W automatically goes up when you get in or out and then returns to preset position when you start car. Major problem to get it fixed. Dealer had car three days as it required replacing the unit itself and then getting it to communicate with car's computer and insuring car computer still communicated with dealer's and MBUSA's. Fortunately it was under warranty and they provided a loaner. Still working.
Curious. If you are not there, how many people are driving the car? If only one, is the setting being adjusted that much?

Had this happen on my car. I could get it to work by wigging the switch up and down a # of times (somtimes 30 or 40 times) it'll work for a few days then stop working again until I did the switch wiggle again.

Took it in to dealer thinking it was a bad switch, they took it apart and said the entire assembly/motor was bad (switch was fine) They replaced it under the factory extended warranty. Took them a full day to do it. Asked how much it would've been without warranty they said a bit over $1k.
