Do you turn off media and climate before tuor off the car?
Will you turn Radio or media and climate off before you turn off your car ? If we don't turn it off before turn off the car , when we start the car the climate will turn the climate on , will this no good to the car ?

W211 have a button to switch off climate , but W213 doesn't have it. When turn off the climate we need to click a few times to lower down the fans speed until it off . So I wonder do we need to turn off climate before we turn the engine off?

Press the AC button to turn off the compressor. Then turn off the fan. That said, I never turn off any accessories before shutting down the engine because every day I use remote start to cool the car before entering it.

On all of my Mercedes cars I've never turned anything else off when shutting off the vehicle. I leave the climate on "Auto" and the system dries itself to prevent odors. On previous brand cars I did shut of the A/C ~5 minutes prior to vehicle shutoff to prevent odors, but have been instructed to leave on Auto for Mercedes and this has worked for four cars now, no odor.

The car will be fine don’t worry. These cars are durable, We had some cold weather last winter, the car temp was negative degrees farenheit and the car started and drove no problem. With that being said I could care less about the a/c being on when I turn off the car LOL

I turn off the AC 10 minutes before arriving too but still get a bit of odor. For those who keep it on auto, you are still getting the odor, but because you technically always have the AC on, it is covering it up. Preventing odors is for those people (like myself) who like to have the fan on, but AC off all the time.

No, I never turn off either the radio or the air conditioner/heater when I turn off the ignition. I've been doing it this way for as long as I can remember with several cars of various makes and it has never caused a problem with any of them.

I think you are very lucky guy . All the car I drove I will turn off all the electronic system and air conditioner . W213 doesn't have the button to switch off , so I ask here.

Luck has nothing to do with it — the car automatically shuts off the audio system and the AC when I turn off the engine and get out of the car. It's designed to work that way, and it works flawlessly in my experience.

In a Mercedes, you do NOT need to turn off either the A/C or audio systems before turning off the car.

I never turn off the climate control...it's set to Auto...all the time.
I never turn off the radio...I occasionally turn the volume down before I shut the car off so it isn't as loud when start it back up.

I have been driving e class cars since 2001, never ever turn A/C or radio off and never have had an issue. Currently I drive a 2013 E350 coupe, and a 2018 E400 sedan, just leave the A/C on Auto and radio however it was when I parked the car.

I have been driving german cars (vw then audi and then mercedes) since the 90's. All had auto control aircon and I have never ever shut them off. I was living in the UK and latterly west france so not hot places and prone to damp. I have never suffered any hint of odour either unlike friends who did not use the aircon continuosly in the belief they saved fuel.
My understanding is turning the systems off is what allows the build up of bacteria and also causes early failure of seals etc as the coolant also lubricates the system.
