E63S Wagon allocation?
My local dealer doesn't have an allocation and the next closest dealers are even smaller and 200+ miles away. What is a reasonable way to find a dealer willing to get me my build? Just calling around to distant dealers at random feels weird.

Nothing weird about it. I had to call quite a few dealers before finding a build allocation that had the Head-Up Display and wouldn't require me to wait until second half of 2019. I would just email a bunch of dealerships and see who has something available. You can also check with Shahul on here -- I believe he has an E63S Wagon that is waiting to be released from VPC and ready to go.

Just call around until you find a dealer that wants your money.. I live close to Keys Mercedes in Sherman Oaks Ca., these guys wouldn't even place an order for me unless I gave them a non-refundable deposit of $10k.
So I called the dealer in Santa Monica and had my wagon in 5 weeks...and a small discount..

Thanks, I guess I'll start emailing around. If anyone has a preferred dealership let me know. I know there are a couple out there now but I want a very specific build.
I don't need the vehicle until May '19, hopefully that is realistic.

Hey Guys,
I have a crazy thing going on here.
As I was about to put an order for a 2019 E63 AMG Wagon ( of course) I see online that MB is about to do a mid-cycle face-lift on the E-Class... So Now comes the BIG question get my dream car or wait and get the updated version?
I have been day dreaming about an E63 Wagon for a while and just as I'm about to pull the trigger comes this new dilemma FML.
The other part of this nightmare is if I was to hold off and then the 2020 gets held up until God knows when because of some EPA BS then I won't see my car until 2021

Hey, for a new member can you point me to a thread that explains how the allocations work? I have ordered a wagon for a May 2019 Euro delivery and got the PO with the confirmation date. Just curious about the allocation convo and if that has any effect on my order

If you have a PO you should be all set, has to be paid for before you go though

I agree 100% that it is a great car, my MAJOR concern is value on a trade once face-lift is out there and shaving $40k+ from my bank account lol
