C450 aftermarket wheel options
Hey All,
new to me (and new to mercedes) picked up a C450 and i absolutely love the car. i have been lurking here for the past month or so and i want to do subtle mods. obviously the run flats that are on the car are frigging awful, and i was thinking when it comes time to replace i would go to a slightly more aggressive wheel.... i did a ton of searching already, at the wheel fitment thread etc and a lot of the posts are older, but i am still having a really hard time finding wheels that will fit our cars. are there any lists or anything posted somewhere i cant find, of what fits? or are we still left out of the aftermarket wheel community because of these unicorn setups?
from what i gathered, with stock ride height, 19x8 / 19x9 with et 30 / et45 should be perfect. yet... i cant find **** in ALL the aftermarket wheel MFG's to get into this range, without custom ordering wheels (which cost more) or getting some 3 piece wheel that will cost over $5grand to get... do we not have cost effective solutions for our cars? i really like the AMG multispoke wheels (19's, in all black) but hell, even to source a set of those it's going to cost a ton.
side note, i come from a highly modded Subaru STI, which that community has gone down hill since this 'stance' culture and hipsters have started taking over. They seem to have lost sight on functionality of cars. so its nice to see a community with their heads on straight that mostly have good taste... haha.

yea thanks, alexasa, i read through that whole thing the other day. i was hoping there was a literal easy list of wheels that work, because there was a lot of back and fourth in that thread with lots of technicalities and specs and such. i will continue my search! thanks for contributing as much as you have into this. i learned quite a lot of wheels in the process.

8.5 is fine, it's just hard to generally recommend because offset has to be super specific and every wheel has a bit of a different lip design, etc which can make or break a fitment that is already a couple of mm's from working.
You'll likely have to run a spacer if you want to go 8 inch wheel, which is perfectly fine. I'd still recommend an 8 inch wheel with a spacer with no issue and is likely what I'd do if doing it again.
My favorite affordable wheels are Neuspeed and TSW, they are strong as hell and very light (rotary formed) at a good price.
For instance, 15mm spacer for front: http://www.neuspeed.com/881003s-rse1...ght-wheel.html
Rear perfect: http://www.neuspeed.com/881004s-rse1...ght-wheel.html
You'll have a hard time finding wheels this light, at this price that are this strong. (they have other style and finishes in the same fitment - and so does TSW)
