KMAC adjustable camber, castor and toe - I am OVER it
Hey guys, I have had three (3) sets of KMAC suspension components ^^^ and in terms of NVH they have failed dismally. There is a constant noise which is well documented with these components. However, I am not sure if Kevin can help me any further with a fourth set. Are their other options available to me, rather than returning to OEM spec components.
I really like not having to replace the Michelin pilot 4S every 10000 km. TIA Matthew

I ordered the adjustable camber arms as well from F1 Fabrication just to get more adjustability with the KMACs I'm about to install.

What type of lube are you using with these? The ones came with the kit is junk. I had the noise and every time I went over bumps, it was embarrassing. I switched to a different suspension lube and re-lubed them, have not had a noise issue for over 3 years now.

Would you kindly suggest or let me know the lubricant you are utilising.
Many thanks

As for your kmac kit, i heard of the exact same problems from others on this forum, which is why I didnt want to risk it & went the above route. However, Check out this post here. It i think answers ur questions.

To be brutally HONEST man, they have been nothing but problems for me. I have had MB tecs install and an independant garage and the noises always come back. ITs totally frustrating for me as I love driving my car man.

I believe there has been some evolution of the components, indicating possible design flaws. This has been obvious as successive parts that have been shipped have been slightly different.

what brand lube did you use?

To be honest, I dont remember. I recall I looked up Suspension Technique brand lube and went to a local race shop to get it. The guys gave me a tub of lube and told me they use it for building all of their poly bushing. Cost me 12 bucks, looked like lard and never had an issue since. I know what I said didn't really help.

Not bad when you think of the resources of OEM where all have managed is a fluted bolt kit (front only) offering a minimal 1/8 inch (0.3 degree) adjustment.
Really do need to get to bottom of your problem - the actual design concept, clamping procedure has been in production now since 1993. ( 26 years) well and truly proven.
Elastomer bushings on hardened steel, spiral grease grooved, nickel chromed internal bushes. No metal to metal contact !
In 2014 a rear bush upgrade was needed for W204 AMG. Situations where over 600 BHP at rear wheels. We met the challenge with a tongue lock system (See attached sheet) where steel tongue locks into and becomes integral part of actual arm. Have you this bush upgrade ?
It is not so much the silicone grease used (as we are only company to have the elastomer outer bushings running on not just plated steel but nickel chromed inner bushes).
Experience of last 26 years it is fit and forget. Always comes back to “time of alignment “ installer not realising bushes are now offset – and the “essential need” to “recheck finally” that yes the 4 nuts are fully tight allowing the inner and outer hardened teeth mounts to fully clamp / maintain setting. Otherwise noise / movement (and if ongoing) under constant brake and acceleration the deteriation of the clamp teeth and product blamed as the culprit.

kmac front top bearing kits are ****,spherial bearing parts are very easy to come in dust and almost impossible to clean,i through them away to the corner of garage after 3 months usage with endless squeaking, the camber kits are good in actual use but it requires proper installation

Exact opposite is the situation how did you reach above conclusion. Do relish the opportunity re helping out, problem solving.
Not knowing if front or rear adjuster kit. (We manufacture rear Camber and extra Toe Bushings. Front Camber and Caster bushings along with front replacement top strut mounts Camber and Caster adjustable).
I presumed was a rear adjuster kit and set out how in 2014 we upgraded the design. Then asking "Have you this bush upgrade" as per the pictures in attached sheet. This helping to identify and move forward re resolving your issue.

The very existence of the new car industry from the 'T' model Ford onwards is about constant, ongoing development.
Same with the aftermarket - we are proud to have undertaken to "design, create" instead of the alternative - no criticism by doing nothing flawlessly and merely plagiarising others exhaustive design effort,research,development..
Recall a German company that copied one of our patented inventions and they unbelievably stating to our patent attorney "doesn't K-MAC like competition"!!!
With the W204 C63 AMG Front Camber and Caster Replacement Top Strut Mounts - yes we have updated with "fully sealed bearings"
Advise address and will send you this update.
Background with these C63 AMG front Strut adjusters - unlike all other brands not only available with "solid mounted bearings" but also available in a street version for day to day commuting.
This Stage 2 kit (Street / Race) Centers are similar design to OEM but elastomer instead of rubber.
While 'Stage 3 (Full Race) has massive 1 7/8" diameter self align spherical bearing (PTFE lined).
Both Stage 2 and 3 feature "unique /separate 85 mm diameter fully sealed thrust bearings" to take steering loads and prevent spring drag / binding. Centers are also replaceable for virtual lifetime usage. These bearings are far and away bigger, stronger than any in the industry.
K-MAC unlike all others are not manufactured from steel or soft billet alloy but the ultimate - very highest aircraft grade 7075 aluminum.
Come with top OEM diameter seats in alloy and seats to fit all brands of Coil overs 60-70 mm ID #503016-2L (Stage 2), #503016-3L (Stage 3).
Finally the unique patented design allows fast adjustment to be made from engine bay (no need for strut removal) and even with a strut brace fitted (see all the features on web site).

Just got off the phone with Kevin and he's been very helpful working thru my challenges with getting some bushings installed. He was willing to ship out revised parts ASAP, but all I needed was some guidance to modify what I already had. So far, customer support has been great!

OP i agree with what Honro suggested with the F1 camber arms i did a lot of research too before purchasing them as i didnt want to chance the kmac kits being loud either. since youve installed 3 kmac kits to no avail maybe you should try another route. unless its an improper install i would do the arms next and see how that works
