Bunch of Smoke coming from exhausts at start up.
Hi, I have an issue with my car. As soon as I start it, I can see a bunch of greyish smoke coming out of my exhausts. Any ideas where I can start looking for the problem. I have no CEL. Thank you!

With bad valve guides it should burn off pretty quickly. I had an old Chevy truck that had bad valve guides and it would stop smoking after a few seconds. It also only smoked when the truck had been sitting for many hours or days.

Yes, one plug seemed to be wet and smelling of fuel. But the smoke has become less. It does smell like something rotten though.

Real testing is in order or you are just firing the 'Parts cannon' at it.
A coolant temp sensor that thinks it is -20 out will make grey/black smoke when cold. May or may not improve as it warms up.
A leaking fuel injector can make smoke too but I'd expect a mis-fire to go along with it.
FWIW the electronics in your two-elemon E-55 don't register a mis-fire as such until the poor thing is mostly undrivable. Then the ECU freaks out and shuts down fuel to the cylinder(s) it thinks are dead. Electronics have come a long way since!
Where in doubt a tow is cheap compared with damaging the engine or getting stranded. Most of us have towing as part of the insurance package anyway!

I talked to a co-worker of mine. He told me that most likely it could be an Air leak and that the CC is burning any minerals left behind. Any suggestions on his theory?
