I plan on doing the same with my X167. Would you mind sharing where did you get the grille from?
Do you know where can I find instructions for removing the original one and installing the new one?
You must remove the front bumper cover to change the grille. It is tricky if you have never done it before. I was not able to find instructions. After I found it could be installed for $300CAN or approx. $240US by a body shop and totally worth it.
There more than 1 post about this but I am too excited lol. Finally get it done.
Quick question. I noticed that the black circle on your pana grill is thinner than the ones in other peoples picture. Do you do any mods to it or it came like that? (The other people's black circle surrounding the star seems much 'fatter' ) Even the ones on cks website seems to be the "fatter" version.
Did you also pay for that $46 additional for the "AMG" or do you know if there are any alternatives? I dont want to put on a "amg" when my car is not really a AMG - but i dont want to leave it blank tho..

It come like that. I hate the AMG logo also but as it kind of small so I dont worry about it too much.
i am looking to buy the grill from ebay (seems cheaper) and it comes with 2 pieces. The Grill and some back support.
During your installation - did you really have the make use of the new "back support"? I think the one from CKS only comes with the grill and expects you to re-use your existing back support.

see picture below.
Yes, you have to use their back support , Keep the original grille and back support .
Looking for some advice here from the more experienced members... so, I just got the grille from CKS performance (along with the back support bracket) and got a quote of $840 from a body shop to replace it.
Seems a bit excessive to me... so wanted to run it by y'all here...
Should I just go DIY and give it a shot ...?
seems like labor cost is getting super high for body shops
the best quote I managed to get for replacing the grille was $800.... so, I have decided to give it a shot and DIY it.
any tips or pointers to tricky parts during the removal of the front bumper? these are the steps I followed so far:
1. Removed the top screws under the hood
2. Turning the front wheels, I got access to the pins inside the wheel house and removed them
3. Removed the bottom screws
I think that I am now ready to disconnect all of the wires and remove the bumper... anything I left out during the steps I took... ?
