MWMods HH ECU Tune Stage 1
https://mwmods.com/index.php/product...e-1-w222-s560/
Thought I would start the thread since there isn't one.
101 Horse power gain
113 Ft lbs. Torque gain
$1050 USD
I purchased the HH tune module and received it 4/10/23. I still haven't plugged it in yet. I get my car back today from the dealership service department after some work on the exhaust flaps. I will then replace the spark plugs and I should be ready to install the tune.
I'm really interested in anybody else's experience with this tune. Being it so closely resembles the RennTech tune specs I'm hoping for the same experience.
I picked this company because of price mainly but after reading the specs and the fact they stated it will not damage emission control systems and the almost identical specs to other major tunes I decided it was for me.
I will not be racing with it. I only want to be ready when it is needed. Like when an S63 pulls up next to me and doesn't know I'm a sleeper. He'll think "What did I pay all this money for?" LOL
More to come soon.

Nice, I dont recall coming across their tunes but am interested in knowing how it works out for you. Did they offer different octane tunes all packaged and switchable from that OBD2 unit?

I’m also interested. Please report back with your impressions after the installation. The price is way lower than the RENNtech module.

I did Renntech.
You realize all these tunes for the 4.0 TT are very conservative tunes….not going to break anything, car will run smoother and use less gas, but also be able to take the doors off of AMG

We have no right to offer the maximum possible increase in engine power and better acceleration 0-60mph without diagnostics of the car on the dyno.
Our product philosophy is to give our customers a new driving experience without the risk of damaging the engine or other equipment. Important advantage of our product is the possibility to set the car back to the stock firmware in a couple of minutes.
To summarize, when you buy our module you get a significant, reliable power boost and you do not lose the dealer warranty.

So you can use both fuels and there will be no loss of power.
We do not offer the possibility of switching from one octane setting to another.

We offer a universal firmware with conservative performance . The priority is the reliability and durability of the engine.

I would like to order this one and will probably do in the next few months, but since you are here, I have a few questions:
1. Can this be combined with the following mods, into one? AMG menu, Dynamic Select memory, Speed Limit.
2. What is the speed limit that it actually unlocks on my 2018 S560? It says 250 Km/h, but that, I can reach already (258 to be precise). Would this allow the car to actually go higher? Not that I ever would want to reach 258 again, but... you know...
3. Is there any form of backup on the original ECU in the OBD2 plug? Are there any differences in the stock maps between countries, models or even individual units to keep in mind?
Thanks!

So I've been getting a lot of private messages asking me about the tune. I was finally able to install the tune Monday night. It went successfully. I've only been able to drive the car 3 times since then and only once on the interstate. I put the entertainment display on Vehicle/Dynamic Select/ Engine Data to show me Horse Power and Torque and the right hand speedo display on G-Force . While full throttle merging onto the interstate I saw 503hp after a shift before I had to lift off the accelerator. The pull was incredible. I've also noticed that in normal driving the Eco stays on and disables cylinders as usual. What else is new is the gas mileage increase while in Eco. I get 38 mpg at 53 mph. Again the hardest thing about the tune is getting the module out of the connector under the dash when done. I have not switched back to factory tune yet to see if that works or to experience the way it was. My next step is to find somewhere to really test the differences with a video recorder mounted to see the dash. It's very hard to drive fast and look at the gages. 100 mph comes quick.

We are waiting for the measurements and video!
It is quite a capricious engine unlike the 63 , but we do remove the factory "collars" programmatically and you get a noticeable increase in power.
The numbers are interesting ,a second should lose up to 100 , this is a good result for a heavy s-class

it would be nice to see a live result of dyno runs before you plug in the module and after to prove the claims of hp and Nm the module gives to show any disbelieves.

I did not try the Rentech- it was too expensive. Still waiting for the MWMODS one..BTW if you order it don't pay for 3 day shipping as it's not 3 day. I'll be lucky if i get after 5 days..It. comes from Poland. You'd think they would know its not going to be here in 3 days!!

installed it. install is a breeze. takes a few mins. Dynamic Select 4 hrs worked (thought it was permanent not 4 hrs, but better than nothing). Didn't notice any difference on the Stage 1 ECU updates. Drives the same, accelerates the same. response is the same. What am I missing?
