EQS Upright MB hood ornamental star?
The exterior hood ornamental MB star on the Maybach EQS is very nice…I was entertaining the idea of replacing the flat emblem on my EQS (before seeing the Maybach) sedan with an upright star. What are your thoughts? Would it greatly affect efficiency?

do you know if any hood star part will fit or is there a direct fit? If you look at the sedan EQS hood hole opening, it doesn’t seem to have the traditional “notch” cut out to slip in and twist in a traditional hood star so I’m wondering if there’s a specific hood star for the EQS sedan.
Part number would be great if you have one.

I know it looks “off” with 2 stars but I’m accustomed to driving MBs with a hood star.

The problem on the EQS is that the slope of the hood means you likely won't see the star from the drivers seat.

I don’t think any star from the SUV fits because the SUVs hood actually has a notch to twist in a hood star. The sedan doesn’t it seems

in a few months, 2025 models will be announced with a few minor changes like the stand up star grill, 118kwh battery from the SUV, and further updated rear seats.
2026 model year will be a full proper facelift, and the highlight will be a full update of the electric drive system. 800 volt battery, new in house designed motors, new cell chemistry, and a two speed transmission. And for 2028 or 2029 model yeah, the new V580 second gen will launch and will be much more normal in design and spacious inside.
