Sybergeek- I have a 2024 Maybach GLS 600 and live in Houston. Although it doesn't get that cold here very often, you shouldn't drive your the car when it is 40 or fewer degrees out. Nor take it anywhere on a road trip where it gets that cold, There are no all season or winter tires that fit the OEM wheels- 22 or 23 inch; (I have the 23's). You would need to figure out a set up with new wheels and tires. Other than that, it is a great ride!

Thanks for heads up..
I have opted for 23" Forged Multi Spoke option. Please suggest if tires are available for this size, or should I go with 22" ones. Is it difficult to get tires ?

Those are the wheels I have, and they are beauties. It is not that difficult to get 22 or 23 summer high performance tires for the GLS 600 wheels. But all season or winter tires are not to be found anywhere that I can find in either size..

That's strange, If they don't have Winter or all season tires, how they are able to sell GLS 600 in East Coast/Winter places ?

Can't really answer- do a search, there has been a lot of discussion about this. Some have opted to get a 2nd set of wheels in sizes that have winter/all season set-ups. In my case, I just drive the Volvo when it is cold out.

I am not overly worried about Winters (or under 40) in Houston. But may plan to out Colorado/Cold places in winter. But I would not take risk and take my BMW X5 (or Rental car) in case, I need to go out cold places. Thanks for sharing valuable piece of Information.
BTW, do we have any Maybach (GLS 600) forum here ?

I think this is a good as forum as it gets for the 600. We do Santa Fe at Christmas and I've always taken my Rover. Unfortunately I traded it in on the Maybach. Not sure what I'll drive next time- don't know that the Volvo is up to it.

Plenty of other threads here that discuss this for the regular GLS. I have opted for a set of non-staggered 20s with Conti winter tires and they were a delight. About to replace my 23s' rear tires shortly and the quote is over $600/tire, so I'm considering putting my winters on in the summer.........

I am new to this forum, sure follow other threads to know more about Tire options for GLS 600. I assume things will not be much different in shopping 600 vs other GLS vehicles.

I much prefer the Rover. It was 7 years old and starting to have reliability issues so I wasn't as comfortable taking it on long road trips. I waited 3 years for a new one and they still couldn't give me a date or even a year when I might get it, so I switched to MB. I wanted a very specific model (long wheelbase, autobiography, 5 seat, V8 engine) and those are hard to come by. The Maybach is close in terms of luxury (and I do love that big-*** grill!!!), but the Rover can take you places the other can't. I plan to keep the Maybach until Rover gets its act together; if it ever will.

This is going to be my first ever MB. I rarely go beyond Dallas/Austin by drive. Only twice I had gone out of Texas (once Colorado, and Chicago other time) in my Odyssey. Next time, if I ever go out of Texas then I may drive Maybach or rent a mini-van or larger SUV. Range Rover autobiography is quite luxurious.. And these luxury cars have relatively short 'worry-free' life. May be complex engineering or some other reasons.

The new light blue exterior paint is chef's kiss!

They STILL haven't fixed the error that says the Crystal White interior comes with white mats; they're grey.

Heads up to anyone considering buying one: the Touch Control capacitive buttons on the steering wheel are basically unusable.

It's unclear what the P62 option is under Package DD6.

Note that the one-year depreciation on my 2023 is $60,000+.

A lovely car nevertheless.

This is the only description I could find:

P62 is just the package code for the ultra high end interior

I see that it is now also available for the non-maybach trim (MANUFAKTUR Signature Nappa Leather) for the new model year. This is exactly what the base trims were missing to get closer to an “S” class level for the interior. I expect it to be very expensive though (prices are tbd for the non-maybach trims) but should be well worth it for pre-owned cars later on.
