Small Engine Compartment when not running
Has anyone experienced this problem? I have a 2016 E350 Sport (Flex Fuel) with 71K miles and on several occasions, while approaching the car after an hour or more of turning it off there's a small engine compartment explosion with smoke coming from underneath the hood (before I start the car). Recent repairs include replacement of ignition coils, replacement of intake manifold and gaskets, replacement of spark plugs, replacement of 1 fuel injector, oil separator, centrifuge cover, and camshaft. But no one seems to know the cause of this problem.

This sounds like it could be heat stress sounds while engine is cooling down.... the smoke may be release of coolant vapor.
Pls use your camera take picture of your concern ✌️
