looking for suggestions here

I have GLC 300 4Matic with 40K miles, closing to 5yrs. I have 5 days to decide whether to take extended warranty or not.

the dealers offered are 4k/7yr(2 more years)

i did not have any issue with the car so far. I have life time oil change as well.

should I consider taking the extended warranty or not?

I plan to keep the car for may be another 3-4 yrs. I know it gives peace of mind, but what is the maximum amount I might pay if I do not have warranty?

I have a 2018 GLC 43 AMG with just over 70k miles and have had no issues at all.
Just the routine servicing at our local dealership.

My phone charging port fell out and had to be replaced, I forgot about that.
That's it. I drive it moderatly hard, my son and wife have taken it on a rally course, drove it quite hard.
No rattles, no mechanical issues, no warning lights. Nothing. Just routine maintenance at the dealership.

cool, my car had no mechanical issues so far... but rattling noise on passenger door fixed in first few months of car purchase. that's why in dilemma to take it or not..

Based on responses looks like if we maintain regular service and have no mechanical issues then no need of extended warranty?

That's my take on it. So much so that my wife just got a 2019 CPO (one year of warranty) GLC 43 AMG with 30k miles and we will not be purchasing an extended warranty.
Other folks may have had different experiences but we have been very pleased.
