Angry Strange clicking noise from back of CLE53

Hi , I have an issue with a car I bought it with 3000km and it is making strange clicky sounds randomly , or underload. I`ve tried to record it .

Sounds like a bearing , axel or maybe a diffirential mechanizm . It goes to MB service on Thursday , I hope they can find an issue instead saying thats normal.

Could it be the suspension transport hooks/caps?

The difference is the CLE is completely new unlike the other forum member, you just took delivery.

Your noise is when you rev the motor, and the other car's noise is when they turn the steering wheel? Seems like very different problems. Glad you're taking it in!

It is when rear axel is getting some pressures that`s why I rev it . Lets see what they say , I`m also doing 1st oil change , still old fashioned when it comes to oil changes after break-in period .

I have the car back , they have documented the issue , recorded some videos and send back to mercedes tech center , they will let me know once they have any information. They said its a new model , 1st that they have their hands on so it might be already known issue for MBenz. I`ll post updates here once I hear back from them

Mine is also in the shop for this right now (along with other things), I originally thought it was brake shims but now i think it has to do with with the rws.

Was it there since first drive ? Or it started to happen after some time ? I`m asking since , service guys seemed to have no clue what it is , so I`m trying to get as much information as I can.

I started noticing it a few weeks after owning it, I thought it was missing brake shims at first. I've had it 2 months to the day and i just cracked 1k miles taking it to the dealer. I dont recall hearing it in the first couple weeks. I think something is up with the rear wheel steer. I just received a call from the service manager saying that they hear and notice the sound and are still looking into it. So no solution as yet.

Sounds good and if the past is any indication, the North American versions are throatier. Can't wait to hear you do a launch and record it once you get past break-in.

sorry, I wasnt commenting on the sound, I posted it because of the bizzare clicking noise that happens when driving. At launch, you can hear the issue.

Nice research @flatsick on finding those videos - it's affecting many of them apparently

the amg gt had this rear clunk when it first came out and it took a minute before Benz solved it - i hope they take care of this for you. Begs the question - they drive these before you take delivery and no one ... no one said - "that ain't right".....??

Just speaks not only to Benz quality going downhill but also the apparent lack of concern of customer perception of these flaws and the brand cache as a result
