Car Holster
Has anyone mounted a holster for a pistol anywhere in their S63? I'd love to hear ideas and/or see pics. I wedge mine between the driver's seat and the console. It never stays in place for long and is wearing the leather on the side of the console.
Google "car seat gun holster" and you'll find quite a few options. I have a concealed carry permit, as perhaps you do also. I prefer keeping my firearm on my person, rather than in a car mounted holder, although comfort can become an issue at times. I don't like leaving a gun in my car, if I need to enter a gun restricted building or zone, so I seldom carry when driving. But I know there are many drivers carrying guns in their vehicles, so I try to be courteous always.

I have always carried mine on me and not loose in the car. In the early 90s, a shoulder rig was good unitl the Miami Vice thing wore out. For my S and other sedans, it does dig into your side but for my GL, its fine. Ive been carrying for 35 years so im used to it digging into my side. I just try not to damage the seat, center console, or steering wheel. IWB holsters are more forgiving to not damage stuff, but the OWB side holsters might scratch things up.
My CC weapon is a 9mm Beretta Nano. It's a sub-size compact firearm that holds only 6 rounds, but it stows neatly and discretely. It gets lousy reviews as a range pistol for a variety of reasons. But can it neutralize a threat at 20 feet? With hollow point loads, I suspect so.

Thank you, StreBorx. I've done the google thing, but haven't found anything I am overly excited about, thus the request for S63 driver input. For when I have to leave my gun in the car, I do have a safe I keep in the car. |t is cable mounted so it cannot be removed easily by a thief. I get uncomfortable on longer drives and don't feel like I can pull my pistol as quickly from my personal holster when seated and seat belted in. I can draw more quickly when it is wedged between the center console and the seat though- that's the thought concerning a mounted holster there.

My X7 has a nearly imperceptible storage compartment on the lower dash, on the left side of the steering wheel. My Beretta fits perfectly, and a couple times I have carried it there on road trips. Unfortunately, my G has nothing to compare. If I was intent on a solution, I'd use the door pocket and build an insert that looked like a beverage container from the top, but with a false bottom where the Beretta would stow.

I hear you. For a quicker draw while seated in your car, an appendix carry would be ideal but they are very uncomfortable, and I won't wear one because of that. In my s, there is no real place to put my holstered pistol. My center console is one of the ones with only an inch depth and is not good for storing things except restaurant mints and business cards. If placed in the side door pocket, I feel you can't get to it quickly enough and my sunglasses take up that area. There is an item that mounts a magnet around the knee bolster. You can easily get to your firearm and draw quickly, but I just don't like to remove my firearm from my person as I can easily forget it in my car.
